Let's not jump to conclusions people. Did the last couple of SEB directors neglect the girly cutesie tracks? Who's to say that just because it will be a woman who's the director (yes a young one too) that she'll discriminate against the more masculine side of Eurobeat?drnrg wrote:d-tanI was googleing those A-San style. Also, it seems on NRGexpress's BBS, Michelle (the webmaster) said that he's guessing that it will be "A-san" formerly from Angeleek. If you don't know what some members of Angeleek look like, here you go:

I pretty hope with the new director we will get back our 2 cd format. We have so much labels now , how can we stick to only 13 tracks ?
IMO they should :
1)revert to 18 tracks at least (though i love more extended versions)
2)put back two 13 extendeds versions cds in every SEB
But with all the news from japan , seems it will stay the same for now

I actually kind of like using many labels with the 13-track format now that I'm used to it. I enjoyed older SEB's like this (59 and 62 are both awesome), and I really like the variety that I wind up with throughout. 187 is my favorite SEB compilation OF ALL TIME (it hasn't lost a drop of its impact since I first heard it!), and 188 and 189 were also both very solid as well.
I do think this format is necessary in order to aide the sales of the Super Eurobeat compilations actually because most people seem to prefer buying the full cuts and not the 4-minute versions of each song; since mu-mo supplies the extended versions of everything on the 18-track releases, buying the actual CD makes less sense if the songs are cut (this isn't outside of Japan, fyi, so being able to read the text obviously wouldn't be a problem as it is for most of us).

Seconded. And, ABeatC's been improving bit by bit too. Even if they weren't, they're still people, producing music with at least a little effort.Javy wrote:Umm ABeatC gets like two tracks per album now. How about doing some research (which in this case would have taken all of 2 minutes) before spewing your rabid hate for labels.
Gee, first it was your reaction to Lobotronic Hammer, and now more ABeatC hate... I'm really restraining myself from typing just what I think of your* posting style, so I'll just say this: At least, TRY posting WHAT IT IS these labels could do to improve.
That is all from me for now. Looking forward to the songlist for this volume.

A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

I don't think A-Beat C has really improved lately (Baby Take Me High has lost its impact very quickly for me and just sounds like a generic, dull Nuage performance), but that's not an immediate reason to boot them off the series. They're easily my least favorite label at the moment, but they can still pull it off quite well occasionally (recalls Magical / Matt Land).
