SPECULATION: SEB's ending at 200? Or not?

Everything that is eurobeat can be discussed here.

(hihi just kidding)
I prefer SEB 256. Though maybe SEB WAV would sound better =p

SEB 200 would be a natural number to end at - and I honestly wouldn't be the least surprised if it does end at that number. I don't wait it to end, oh god no, but if it does happen I wouldn't be shocked. More saddened.

Judging from the avex catalogue numbers, it looks like SEB can go up to at least SEB 999 before it can't have consecutive catalogue numbers anymore :D

I'd be much happier if Avex lost its grip on the labels and they were allowed to market to the internet or other companies as much as they wanted to. Don't you want to see more things like the Eurobeat Masters compilations, or are you pleased as punch that Avex sits on a zillion A Beat-C, Time, and SCP tracks, never to release them?

You make a good point. =P

Possibly SEB 1000 (which is why I said "at least" :P ). From Discogs the one after 189 is The Big Brother album which was AVCD-11006. I tried to double check AVCD-11000 on Amazon.jp cause they usually list every single thing ever released, but it wasn't there...

SEB 1000 works for me 8)

I'll be sure to thank all those who say it will end at 200 for such negative vibes is it happens

On a different note, Let's get positive again, since we are about to enter a whole new decade. The 190s are here people. New songs. Posibly new artists. I'm hyped as hell. Lighten up with all this speculating crap!

A number of you guys make it sound like you want it to finish at 200. If it does happen, I am blaming the lot of you for making it happen. :-x

How many of us? Give me names. I doubt you'll come up with more than four that have blatantly stated that it WOULD, for SURE, be a GOOD and DESIRABLE thing for Super Eurobeat to end EXACTLY at 200, then assume that it WOULD end there. I'm having enough trouble finding ONE that follows that criteria!

MOD EDIT: No need to get into a big argument over the thread.

Time to cool off a bit, things are not really all that bad. It's a forum, behave and don't stress out too much.

I know at least one thing that would be happy if SEB stops releasing and there isn't gonna be a replacement; my wallet. ;X

The album 200 will hopefully mean an end to a great era.

The stoppage wouldn´t mean an end to the world - instead there will be another album and a fresh new start.

There is nothing with changes and a new serie would be something good for the eurobeatworld.

Oph, someone got their panties on in a knot. Cool off a bit turbo, just these argument seem rather apprehensive. Makes me feel like you all are going to jinx it to actually make us happen.

(Btw I am referring to you for pointing out silly, exaggerated details that would *cough* deem a consideration for SEB to end at 200. I didn't want to point out singular subject or particular name buuut you were curious, so I gave you an answer)

Very well. And, I really didn't need to go as far as I did before-- on that end I apologize. Rough days tend to lead to rough posts on my end, and yesterday was quite so.

That having been said, though, I fail to see how I sounded like I WANT SEB to end at 200, or that it WOULD. I lent suggestions and ideas as to how it MIGHT, right alongside how it might NOT. I set both sides into play, not just the anti-SEB side.

As well, it'd just be foolish to blame us forum members for the death of Super Eurobeat, if-- IF-- it happens. It would be the actions of Avex and the labels ALONE that determine its longevity, not a couple of posters that are trying to reason with an unfortunate possibility. I was just a bit offended that you'd try to lump those of us that aren't thinking just as positively as, say, yourself or Drnrg, into a group that may be somehow pseudo-spiritually-whatever responsible for the end of Super Eurobeat, a compilation that 9/10s of us "doomsdayers" happen to enjoy and desire the continuation of in the first place.

If EVERY ACTIVE POSTER (that wasn't a producer or Avex rep) wanted Super Eurobeat to end, it wouldn't be enough to "jinx" it into happening, if you ask me. ;/ And, seeing as that's not the case, I think we're pretty safe on THAT front.
