For me it is only trash.
Trash? :-x
Now that is a bit harsh don't you think?
Ennio's vocals have never been associated with "trash."
Btw, how in the world is this "killing" eurobeat? That is just simply ridiculous statement. :?

There are two different D1 Grand Prixs... the Gazen paraPara one the D stood for Dance, Dance No1 Grand Prix and wasn't about racing, but a dance competition.

Hmm. Some of the rock wasn't as great as I thought it could've been, but it was still pretty cool to see/hear our Eurobeat musicians trying their hand(s) at rock. Go2's lyrics were... sometimes laughable, but they put in great effort that made up for them, somewhat.

They were covers.

Hey, you went so far.
CHECK what if Tina Turner start making trance.
CHECK what if 50 cent start making hard rock.
Their fans would run away like you from me now.
Guys you are too prejudice against the vocalists and/or producers.
For me, if they go to a wrong way I stop listening them. Yeah I know it's because I listening only Eurobeat and Italo dance. True, I like this style and not eating everything.

Ric, as Jorge touched upon there was a slight sarcastic tone in that post I made. People like throwing around the term "Killing Eurobeat" so I just compiled a little check list for some comic relief :)

Yeah, using the words "killing eurobeat" was a bad move. It wasn't the point of my comment. Anyway, Go 2 and others: GO back 2 Eurobeat.
That's it finish 8)

I disagree. I liked how Go2 pulled off rock.

...dunno how to elaborate, so I won't. :|

I don't know why so many people are upset about two things: one this CD not being entirely eurobeat and two the eurobeat singers using their eurobeat names for these projects. Dave Rodgers used that name for his rock project, and no one said these names are strictly eurobeat. This CD was a racing CD project by Avex that happened to include covers of classic rock songs with eurobeat artists. Powerful T. (Roberto Tiranti), Ace Warrior, The Snake and Go 2 (Ennio and Christian) all have backgrounds in either indie or rock music and explored that using the same vocal ranges they use for eurobeat. It's a side project for them all so everyone chill out just because it isn't eurobeat. Either deal with it or shut up lol...

I wouldn't say the new tracks are not Eurobeat - at least in the case of A-Beat C. You can clearly hear Eurobeat soundworlds in Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, Give Me All Your Love and Burn (even though it has a whoppin' 185 BPM ). SCP seems to have taken a different approach and tried to reconstruct the original sound of the songs (which is also great, if you ask me).

Seems the cd is up on MoMu. The Rock covers are pure Rock no Eurobeat whatsoever, unless I'm too deaf to hear the keyboards. Anyway, The samples sound pretty cool. I decided to purchase a few and review them. Why such high grades, because I'm a Rocker at Heart 8)

4. 8 Ball- Need For Speed. These guys seem new. It sounds like an original and mighty tasty at that. Wouldn't sound at all out of place at a WWE Smackdown.
9/10

5. The Snake- Kickstart My Heart. The vocalists does his best to mimic Vince Neil, but just can't get that high note. Also there is no substituting Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx on guitars, but a nice cover at that.
8+/10

6. Go2 feat. Andrea Martongelli - Highway Star. This one kicks ass and also sounds original. Ennio sounds. Andrea does a great job on guitars. Do I sense a hair Metal revival from Italian Rockers.
10/10

14.. Powerful T. Feat Alex De Rosso- Burn. The best Powerful T. stuff I heard since Glorious. The drums are Eurobeat crazy and he himself sounds Glorious on this track.
10/10

20. Ace Warrior feat. Alex De Rosso. This one is one of my favourite Van Halen songs eva, but Ace Warrior fails at recapturing the charisma od David Lee Roth's vocals and just sounds so lifless. Not to mention that Eddie Van Halen's magical fingerwork is also absent.
7/10

27.Powerful T. feat. Alex De Rosso- Give Me All Your Love. This one actually works, because Of Alex's Guitar work. Powerful T. Also does a great job recaptuing the attitude of David Coverdales vocals, which is the sass needed to deliver those lyrics.
9/10

28. 8-Ball- Can't Carry On. This one has some really good drum work. The vibe is a little slower, but still sounds like the 8- Ball from track 4. Only this TIME they sound a bit more along the lines of Deep Purple.
8/10

29. Go2 feat. Andrea Martongelli- Please Don't Leave Me . This one is more Pop Oriented than rock. Sounds like something I'd expect from Firehouse or Europe. maybe even Toto in thier post 80's years. Not really my cup of tea when it comes to Rock.
6+/10

30. The Snake- Home Sweet Home. Again a very nice cover of the Motley Crue hit. This TIME His vocals come a bit more close to Vince's than in Kickstart... This is heard especially when he sings the Tonight Tonight line, but still could have put more umph like he does in Queen Of Mean.
9/10

It seems Rock and Eurobeat are more closely related hear more than ever. I prefer this type of cd as opposed to those where they mix Eurobeat with *cough* techno. Rock and racing have allways been related. Extreme Sports come to mind. I would like to see more of these in the future. Perhaps with some more lables taking a stab at Rock. Maybe even some of Edo's rocking jams. He has a sound not far away from AC/DC and Airbourne and would sound right on target on a cd like this. A lot of 80's Rock bands are making a comeback. Def Leppard, Whitesnake,Dokken, White Lion, Sixx A.M. and even the Crue themselves, so the TIMing couldn't be better.

Which brings me to my final question? What would Motley Crue sound like covering Queen Of Mean or Speed Of Light? 8)
