Seriously. The first time, and for the longest time, I *swore* Music by Habegale was sung by a female.
Wait....what? You mean, Music is sung by a
man???

Yeah, if you slow the track down a little bit, you can clearly hear Davide Di Marcantonio's vocals without any voice enhancements. This is the only example of this that I can find though; I experimented with the unknown, frequently-appearing, early vocalist from Vibration as well but it was definitely a real woman when I slowed it down.

Lol, I don't know why I ever thought that was a woman now that I listen to it again!
Anyway, back on topic - Krystal sounds really familiar, but I can safely say it's not Nuage (too clear, slightly more nasally). She's not as nasally or squeaky as E. Gobbi, but the vocals are in that kind of style.

Also, Davide's voice in Rose & John - Living in America is pitched so he sounds female. At first I didn't think he was in the song.

Heh, yeah I though exactly the same about Music.
To me, Krystal sounds the closest to the Romi/La Gatta vocalist.

A couple of track he sang at TIME also freakes me out. Among those are
Robert Patton- Love Is Free
Hi Gang- Eeoh Ooh, Eeoh Ooh
I think those were the highest pitched songs he did. I was so glad when he brought it down a few notches to sound Gino Caria. like on Millenium and $1000s

Love Is Free is great, what are you talking about? It was also the first song he sang at TIME Records.

It's highly possible that it is Judy Crystal to be honest.
I've just listened to some old Judy Crystal tracks, and particularly the choruses of Nori Nori Nori and God of Romance sound almost identical in tone to the bridge section of 1 Week in particular (from 00:50). 1 Week has much clearer vocal production (whereas the older Judy Crystal tracks muffled the vocals quite a bit) so that may be throwing people off.
I'd say that she's definitely my number 1 suspect for the role now!

well if it would kinda make sense it to be jusy crystal...the tone is very similar like ditz said and also a name like Krystal.....
i would hope it is cause i love every song she has sung, i would like to dig up a longer version of "jumping to heaven" from Dancemania speed
so if habegale is a guy, what about Ken D "the 7 jump" sounds very similar....i havnt taken that much notice to dancemania series other thn the DDR songss, would like to know what other songs Dima has done

I don't know who Krystal is, but I don't at all think that it's Judy Crystal - I'm familiar enough with her raspy vocals from her early Hi-NRG Attack performances that I definitely can't spot any real similarities.
