Eurobeat Essay Help

Post by aisasami » 17 Nov 2008, 19:28

Hey!

I don't post here that much but I am writing a paper in one of my classes about how Eurobeat affects the Japanese culture. If you have information or know any sources (books, websites, magazine, other essays, and etc) about the fashions (Ganguro and all that), chord structures (there is actually a chord structure that was influence from Eurobeat and is popular in Japanese music), the places/clubs, the songs and music themselves, and/or anything else that is influenced by Eurobeat or is in with the Eurobeat world. Much help is appreciated (I have to write a 10 page paper on the topic).

And, does anyone know any of the Eurobeat artists/producers/songwriters' email addresses who I can do a interview concerning my paper?

Again, much help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I was creating a fantasy vinyl for Harajuku Nights and googled Harajuku fashion. Some really crazy and far out clothes are being worn in Japan that's for sure.

There is a section in here about Eurobeat. It's pretty accurate. even explains whoe whole structure of the song. Sabi, a melow and so forth.

To add on here, I don't know of any printed material on Eurobeat. Trust me, I've looked at alot of online bookstores for it. You might try to get into contact with Newfield, a producer with Delta. He's on here sometimes.

Does anyone have success in reaching other producers or singers via email?

AREA(end around 1997), Twinstar and XENON(defunct), and Maharaja clubs in Japan were popular in the 1990s. There are even some Maharajas that still play euro and dance parapara there. velfarre 1994-2006, SEF DX event in XROSS, 9lovej, Star Fire, B-1 Dynamite, are just some of the major club events that are recent =/ You HAVE to talk about avex trax and Victor Entertainment who made the Europanic series and ParaPara Panic series. On Wikipedia, there is an article about Gazen ParaPara!! and the ParaPara Paradise series. There is an informative article on Super Eurobeat too in Wikipedia. If you really wanted to go in depth about the club events then you should go to ppstage :P There are MANY more than that. I just barely scratched the surface. There are several other TechPara events and Maniac dance events too. While the booms are opinion-based, there is a consensus to when they actually started. You must talk about these booms also. There are 4 booms. You really have a broad topic :P

Not to discourage people from doing so, but writing a 10 pg essay on Eurobeat is pretty difficult if you don't know much about already since most of it is supposed to be first-hand knowledge.

Ive tried Pamsy and Christine from SCP and haven't had replies yet.
I know Dave Rodgers on MySpace answers sometimes.
And also Newfield from Delta is on Eurobeat-Prime but aswell on MySpace.

Also for clubs and events i know this is a really cool page from D-Tan that she made a couple of years ago.

Years ago I did a paper on eurobeat and a presentation. SCP really helped me out a lot. Get in contact with them. They usually reply fairly quickly.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

info@gogosmusic.it

You may be able to get an answer from either Domino or Sandro (most likely Domino) emailing there.

Perhaps "info@..." would work better than "domino@..."? Phil should know, of ANYone.

info@gogosmusic.it is a good starting point. Also, Alessandra often checks her MySpace and Facebook - you may want to try adding her there and shooting off a message.
