My pet peeve

Currently I have one dissatisfied issue, and that is the recent songs of Eurobeat, no matter how well crafted or spectacular will dissapear within a few months. And that oldies like Anniversary and Initial D staples like Night of Fire and Speedway will continue to show up in gazillions of compilations.

When was the last time you heard Susy Wender's and Nuage's catchy Plastic Girl? Only once and that was on Super Eurobeat 148. It was never in the best of 2004 and never appeared in any non-stop megamix. (am I correct?) How bout something even newer but my personal favourite Raparapadance from GGGs? It also never showed up in best of 2004.

My point is that newer but good songs get shoved aside while so-so newer speedy songs like Mad Max "Tsunami Comes" and Symbol gets the para para treatment and Initial D love. And those old songs KEEPS COMING BACK! Night of Fire! Kingdom of Rock! Stay! bleh...

Want to bet with me that 5 of these songs will NEVER be remembered by the community 1 year from now except devoted fans of SEB?
1. Stephy Martini - Emotions
2. Queen 26 - Going Crazy (memorable for some for the wrong reasons)
3. Dark Angels - Right Now
4. Matt Land - Superfantastico
5. Stylophones - Hold On To Love

i totally agree with your opinion, i mean i don't even seriously look forward to seb non-stops anymore, because of all the mass repeats and stuff. But you know that this phenomen is nothing new, it has always been that way. when i look back at old seb tracklists, i see TONS and TONS of titles and even artists i never ever heard of on any non-stops or "best of" albums, and i'm sure at least some of those songs must be really good. But i just can hope that songs like Queen 26 will be forgotten really quick and no one will ever talk about that seb non-eurobeat nonsense anymore.

Which is why I'm glad Avex has stopped doing the non stops for the SEB and left the nonstops for JGTC and best of whatever year.

But it was pretty good when it first came out. Now its very overplayed... Which happens to the best songs. Look at "In The End" by Linkin Park... I loved that song so much
