Silly, but not unthinkable...

I only have a few tracks that would be eligible for upgrade (mostly from the Ace Special Collections) but they would be nice to have.

I'm guessing the US store...
Canadian store, as well.

I have a question about the JP store and SEB 197's extended. Is it iTunes Plus or not? Because if it's iTunes Plus I might save up for a Japanese iTunes Card to get (Finally & legally) the extended version. Fire Dragon and Love Countdown are pretty much the one I want to hear in good quality.

iTunes Japan is still DRM-encrypted 128kbps stuff (I checked).

:faints: The new albums are up on US as well! Purchased the Norma Sheffield album. Nice to see "Waiting For You", as that was only released on Euromach 03 before (and vinyl?). Also, "Wanna Feel You" and "Little Crazy Baby".

They're up on the Canadian iTunes store DRM free. I upgraded the albums I bought on that iTunes store, repurchased GGG Vol. 2 and also picked up the Groove Twins and Virginelle albums. :D

Told ya they'd be up again. :P

I really hope (but highly doubt, due to the lack of a "vol. 1" label) that Avex will release a second Virginelle compilation, because honestly the one they do have up really does Elena Gobbi no justice. It has some nice songs picking up, but aside from omitting Brother & Sister (which is bad enough on its own), where in the world are all of the songs from the alias with that made her truly famous and have numerous appearances? You know, songs Fantasy, Hot Love & Emotion, Kiss Me Kiss Me Babe, Mystery In Love, and Like A Virgin. All of those are absent, and instead we're left with some of her less significant hits that gained some fair attention but aren't nearly as popular as those classics that I'm sure would've brought in more cash had they been included. If you look back at things, Virginelle is perhaps the most successful eurobeat alias of the early 90's, so leaving out all of her biggest tracks is just a bit displeasing in my opinion.

On a second note, I'm gonna lay down a wishlist of future special collections that I would really like to have be eventually released:

- Christine: One of my favorite female eurobeat singers ever, yet the bulk of her classics are either restricted to the virtually-obsolete Eurobeat Flash series or only availible in their nonstop format on Euromach.
- Manuel: This guy is quite successful with virtually every new release he puts out, and I for one would rush to buy his material in extended format.
- Matt Land: Dominant throughout the 100's, 110's, and 120's decades especially, but remaining strong in later ones too, I could easily listen to a full album of just Matt Land and stay entertained for ages. Plus, this would also warrant the possibility of releasing City Lover City Rider and I'm Your Bad Boy Racer as extensions. I'd hope for at least 2 compilations from this artist.
- Lou Grant: Since Time/Eurogrooves focuses on a much broader array of different aliases than A-Beat C, GGM, and SCP, choosing a theme here would be difficult, but I would really love to have at least one Time/Eurogrooves-based compilation, since they're my new favorite label. Lou Grant is probably one of the most popular classic titles from the label, and it's also easily one of the best imo, so I'd strongly recommend a Lou Grant-themed special collection over anything else.
- D-Essex/D.Essex: Niko is hot, but please don't forget D.Essex, either!

Just to be anal, but City Lover City Rider was released as extended on an Initial D Compilation.

My wishes for future collections:

Dusty (now that they're releasing alternate aliases, would like to hear Hey Ho Let's Go and Stop & Go unmixed/extended)
Powerful T.
Manuel
Karen
Susan Bell (most of her songs were only on the Euromach nonstops, and "Dream at Night" and "Feel The Spirit" were only on the Aerobeat Eurobeat series, also the Eurobeat Disney duet with Powerful T., "If I Never Knew You")
Christine
Kiki & Kika/Fancy

Yes, they're so abundantly available worldwide now that I'd almost neglected the fact that... All of Europe is completely ignored!

I'm not surprised. The irony is just awful - the music is produced in Europe and they can't even bloody release it in Europe!!

Whatever - I don't really want any of these new collections anyway, but surely if they release iTunes Plus, we may eventually get the new SEB volumes on international iTunes stores as well. I still have money left from my last J-iTunes gift card, but it would be easier (and cheaper) to buy from the UK store.

Just a thought - can you sign up for an account in the US store with a credit card issued in the UK or do they have the same stupid rules as the Japanese store?

Same rules, I'm afraid - US store for US citizens with US credit cards.

I can't answer that question but I can tell you that I tried to register on US store with my NL PayPal account, and that didn't work because my PayPal account had to be US too.

I don't understand why you're all so bitter about this. Obviously, since the US and Canada stores got them back, AVEX is working on getting them up on other stores. Give it time.
