MAGIC HAMMER: Powerdance from the minds of RDE and zz2

Post by zoupzuop2 » 10 Sep 2009, 07:22

Yes, it IS Eurobeat-related— the music takes Eurobeat in a faster, more metal-based approach (in some cases more obvious than others), and streamlines the focus of the music to one point.

That is,
PARTY
PARTY
PARTY

Come see what the producer behind RainbowDragonEyes (Dance on Fire by Bellik and Blue Sky by Hana) has been up to lately! I've joined forces with him on a couple of tunes, so expect some awesome things as we ramp up for our first release coming soon!

OK. Here's the review based from what I've heard :

1. Blooddrunk

Very imaginative riff. The couplets, bridge & chorus are VERY catchy. That's the strongest point. I liked the song in itself. Great job.

8.5/10

2. Love Is On The way

Pitched vocals LOL. Very Hi-NRG Attack. I know I've heard that style somewhere before but it's definetely like! I love this song!

9.5/10

3. I'm Gonna Get You

A little more pumped A-Beat Intro with some cool riff. But, the rest is just meh. Energy is a bit missing in the vocals with this title.

6/10

4. Pills I Took [Hanks III]

Another riff style I've heard before... but the rest is just like I'm gonna get You.... Energy is missing in the vocals...

5/10

5. Erin's Runaway Imagination

I believe that's a radio edit and not the extended. Anyway. Calm intro followed some imaginative riff. Here, actually, the vocals fits the theme of the song. So, it's a pretty cool song. I like it.

9/10

(Youtube) 6. Meat, let's party

The lyrics are... unusual. LOL. Probably the one that will get the most popular (A SUCCESS?) because it's FUN and CATCHY. The riff can surpass a LOT of riffs we get in SEB. Also reminds me of Go Go's riffs lol.

That's it.

This song does have revamped vocals in the works. That is, if I ever get off my butt and re-record them. :U

Hey dudes, thought I might chime in here for a second....

The "catalog" you speak of is an album, which is still being written. Once it is done, it will be very much available. only a couple songs left to go, I'm hoping to have it done before the close of this year (TRAVIS???????????????????????????????????? :)

Pills I Took is a cover of Hank Williams III, an alternative country artist who lives here in Nashville. If you don't know who Hank I or II are you shouldn't be listening to music.

Erin's Runaway Imagination is a cover of a ska/punk band called "Fatter Than Albert" on www.communityrecords.org, it's available now and it stands out like a sore thumb on a 26-track $4 compilation from that label.

I hope you're not disappointed when I upload full versions and they are not all your typical eurobeat song structures, because I like to think of it more as rock and roll with dance beats and heavy synths. I'm glad you guys seem to be digging the stuff so far tho. 550 plays in 2 days is a pretty good start.

party

Eric

Same song, new production, then 2 remixes at the end there with the same vocal track. Also even tho there are 5 different singers on this album I'm not using aliases, it's all Magic Hammer because I'm treating it like a band.
