That's why I said if you purchase it off musico and don't download it from musico but from IDForum it would be fine. And you need to pump the brakes there with the gdamn. Never told you to get a job. I don't know your situation and to be honest don't care lol. It was your decision to get the speakers and such.

You, sir, has a moral problem. You see, according to your mindset, poor people cannot and never something luxuous sometime because they haven't the money. So, in your mindset, they can't listen to music because they can't buy the original record.

Also, when we download music, it's not because we hate the genre or anything. Exactly the opposite : because we love it. But, because of circumstances, we can't always buy the original record. That can be because the album is so rare that we can't find it, or we don't have a credit card or simply because we don't have money and have other priorities.

So, your "can't listen to eurobeat because you don't buy it" crap, doesn't make sense. People can listen to it but because of circumstances, they cannot do much better than downloading it.

Your mindset is appalling - you seem to think you have a right to have something for free without earning it. Heck, I'd sympathise more if you were only copying a couple of really old EB tracks but supported the genre otherwise, but you're ripping off an album that just came out. You're denying the people who make this stuff their living, and might I add THEY'RE the ones who wouldn't be able to afford to eat and would die in 3 days, by your analogy.

Oh, and saying stuff like "I wouldn't have bought it anyway" is a fairly weak argument - if people want something enough, and the only means is paying for it, usually they'll resort to it. The internet just seems to have made theft incredibly easy. And faceless.

I really don't think this piracy issue is going to stop anytime soon, so I personally think complaining about it everytime a new SEB is released is just a waste of time. At the very least, I would like Avex to put the series on iTunes and such so that it's easier for overseas listeners to buy it. It could reduce the piracy considerably. Musico is a small step in the right direction, at least.

Any comments about the album itself?

I'm in agreeance with the majority that if you can't afford to buy eurobeat, you don't deserve to listen to it. Let's put this into perspective: I really want one of the latest iMacs, but I don't possess the necessary funds at the moment to purchase one. Does that mean I should steal one? Of course not; I'm waiting until I'm in a better financial situation. Lebon14, you don't live in a third world country; you own a computer and possess either headphones or speakers to listen to eurobeat, so you must have some spare funds lying around to purchase eurobeat. Don't give us the hip pocket excuse.

On the other hand, however, eurobeat is in such uncertain, muddy waters at the moment, I can somewhat understand why people aren't supporting the genre. At least, that's why I'm not buying eurobeat anymore, in addition to the fact that eurobeat kind of bores me these days. I don't think eurobeat is worth an illegal download nowadays, but that's just my opinion.

I also agree with Gorgia_v that there is a lot of hypocrisy flying about. I believe that most people discovered eurobeat through illegal downloading (that's how I discovered the genre back in 2003 anyway). I know for a fact that a few people here are acting as white knights and aren't owning up to their persisent illegal downloading habits.

Having said that, however, I think it's okay to share a few songs or an album or two at the very most, although copyright law would suggest otherwise. Sharing eurobeat is how we get the word out that the genre actually exists at all. It starts to get hairy when people illegally download every single SEB from the net, and there are so many who do this. Illegal downloading is incredibly tempting and so readily available, some people just can't resist. But that's so self-interested and not fair on the rest of the fans and especially the producers (who are the biggest losers out of this whole ordeal). Just imagine how much profit the producers lose when everybody illegally downloads all the SEB albums they can find on the net! Once eurobeat is done for, it'll be because of lack of funds/support - that much is obvious. You're the one who'll need to live with the fact that you contributed to the demise of a music genre you "cared" about. Once your love for eurobeat flowers, that's when people should start supporting the producers who make this wonderful music.

Whatever people's reasons are, if you enjoy eurobeat and listen to it regularly, you should support the producers to ensure eurobeat's longevity. That's the right thing to do.

The album is actually pretty solid with some minor dissapointments. SEPH will conduct a review soon and have it up on podcast!

SEPH had the weirdest reviewers when I listened to it. Nine loses the ability to count higher than 3 when it doesn't concern a GGM or the odd SinclaireStyle song, and Dom can't formulate an opinion of her own and prefers piggybacking on the backs of the other reviewers. Is it still like that?

#Infinity had the best reviews on the podcast; he doesn't mind when he's at odds with other reviewers and isn't blatantly pushing the agendas of certain labels like Javy and Nine do rather frequently. He should do more reviews.

I agree with this. Think about it this way, piracy isn't going to stop and Avex isn't making it any easier on us by not allowing us to have any good way to buy their music. If you're buying mostly every album that you can afford you're still doing a larger part than most of the people that listen to Eurobeat outside of Japan. I don't think it's really fair to say one person doesn't deserve to listen to an entire genre just because he downloaded a couple of CDs. Come on. By that logic most of you probably wouldn't even know what Eurobeat or half the music you listen to is.

Also, to add to what I said, if someone can't afford to buy the album and they already know that they're not going to be able to buy it, then them downloading it isn't doing any damage to the industry.

What spare funds? I don't have spare funds. Sorry but I'm an honnest person. When I say I don't have money, I ACTUALLY don't have money. Don't have as in "0". I live on my paren'ts back because of the governement. The government doesn't want to give the last resource revenue because it think that my parents as enough money to substain everything : appartment, food, TV, Internet, telephone, insurrance, electricity and gaz for my car. Even though that I think that it's false of the governement to think so (further explaining would be intrusion). Do you still think that I can use my paren't's money to buy eurobeat? I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't be getting the album even if you liked it.

I can post a screenshot of my bank account if you want...

So, like it or not, I'm NOT going to stop listening to Eurobeat because you said so. Also, now it's night but when it'll be day, today, I'll be getting out to try to get a job. I'll be getting back with the answers of the place I will have visited.
