Plus Audacity has a "Noise Removal" feature that works really well on background fuzz.

Only downside is you have to actually wait for the whole song to play which is annoying, but I just listen to it anyway usually. :)

What was that about piracy?
I paid for my copy of the program. I just don't really care about the piracy debate anymore (if people dont wanna buy things it aint my problem I dont care anymore). I just mentioned a cracked version because most people on the internet do pirate, i'd be ignorant to think I can change people.

It is not...... what I like. I prefer other non-traditional Eurobeat.. not that AAA remix style ;)

Btw.

''I Can't Stop Loving You'' by Dream Fighters
has a wonderful disco-sounding riff, it's amazing!

And this CD looks very promising, also looking forward to what SEB203 will offer us :)

Honestly, I'll only start fantasizing about 203 after 202 gets released. And that's only if 202 impresses me as much as 201.
That's not to say my hopes aren't up. I'm still very optimistic about the future of eurobeat! 8)

I finally have a spare day to check out these new samples and see if they are little more exciting than the 201 offerings...

My smiley scale (best >>> worst)
 > :) > 8) > :| > :???: > :( >

1. Irene - Coolover [SCP]
Wow...just, WOW!!! Love the sound of this one - Irene's vocals can sometimes sound a little nasally and whiny, and she is certainly at that end of the scale in this track, but the melody and overall production is just the kind of style I love. It worries me that SCP have neglected Pamsy though as this is easily the kind of track that would have been a massive hit for her in the 180's, but Irene does bring her own unique energy to it. Really looking forward to a full version of this baby!!

2. Chris Stanton - Ready Forever [EuroGrooves]
Reminds me of another track's melody, but just can't place it at the moment. This sample is pretty middle of the road for me as it treads that middle ground between Eurogrooves' more modern sound (a-la Euronight) and their fairly stagnant, bass-heavy productions of the 170's. I reserve full judgement until I hear the full version, as I have a feeling I will enjoy it better then, but for now my vote is a resounding "meh"
:|

3. Paul Harris - Dreamlover [Delta Music Industry]
There's something quite refreshing and uplifting about the melodic refrain in this one. It's like a theme tune to a superhero cartoon or something. Since Eurobeat Masters vol. 17, I've been waiting for some more hot Paul Harris tracks, and while this doesn't quite match Fever at first listen I definitely think I'll be giving it a lot of repeat plays. Awesome frantic sounding riff as well.

4. Bubbles - Hanky Panky [SCP]
Are Kiki & Fancy not enough? This alias seems like a bit surplus to requirements, and I can tell that much like the inclusion of Koko Soko towards the end of the 190's, this track will persuade even more people that SEB is selling out to more commercial-sounding dance genres. This one still has an interesting synth hook with a Eurobeat flavour, but the vocals, beat and overall feeling of the track is very Bubblegum in style. Not really what I wanted to hear, but not a complete disaster.
:???:

5. Cherry & Luke - Go Shinkansen! [Delta Music Industry]
Oooooh, this sounds awesome!! Much like Dave & Futura's duet on 201 that was almost exclusively sung by Dave, this pretty much sounds like a Cherry-dominated track (at least in the chorus). But that's no bad thing with such an awesome production and anthemic sing-a-long quality. I can picture Clara punching the air with every "GO!" The tiny part of the bridge that you can hear at the start of the sample hints at even more awesomeness in the full version!

6. Go Go Girls - My Hot Guitar [GoGo's Music]
This sounds more like the Go Go Girls productions that were being released just before they migrated over to GGM. Nonsensical lyrics aside ("Do you wanna my guitar to play?" - excuse me??) this track sounds farily decent with the obligatory wailing electric guitars in the background. As someone has mentioned, the hook clearly pays homage to Smoke On The Water - perhaps one of the first riffs anyone learns on an electric guitar - but the real appeal in this track is in the fact that it sounds more meaty than GGM tracks of the 190's (which I loved as well, but this can only make the label stronger in my eyes!)
8)

7. Dream Fighters - I Can't Stop Loving You [Dima Music]
Dima stays in a sentimental frame of mind. The ascending chord progression gives this a really positive sound and it's nice to hear a more stripped back production from him. I find it bizarre that this has been released under the Dream Fighters alias - it would be far better suited to David Dima himself in my mind. This is guaranteed to be in the top 5 productions on the whole album. Another solid track from Dima if not the most instantly awesome...
:)

8. Princess F. - Internet Kills The Eurobeat Stars [Hi-NRG Attack]
Hmmm, this one is a bit odd. I don't really get the melody, especially with those highers notes in the chorus that seem to clash with the background sounds. I also can't hear the supposed serious message in the lyrics as I cannot understand them - the vocals are too wispy and the backing too loud for me to be able to understand anything other than the title. HRG seem to be having far more misses than hits on the SEB series for me nowadays...
:(

9. Apple - Playboy [EuroGrooves]
No comments since the link plays the wrong song!!

10. F.C.F. - New Technological World [SAIFAM/Asia]
I don't really hear a massive amount of difference in this remix - the only major change that I can pick out has actually made the song slightly worse (the synth line has been cranked up in the main refrain so it sounds like it is trying to fight with the vocals - I much preferred the robotic effects of the "original" version). Anyway, that aside it's nice to see this one making an appearance on the SEB series as it is definitely one of Saifam's more unique and appealing productions of the past year or so. Now lets hope 7A picks up a Diabolik song in the future...
8)

11. Mickey B - I Wanna Run To You [A-Beat C]
This has an 80's anthem feel about the synth production and vocal melody, and it really suits Mickey B's vocals. I will admit that when I first heard this sample right after the unbridled energy of New Technological World, it sounded a little underwhelming and (dare I say it) reminiscent of the bad old days of a few decades ago for A-Beat C. However, when I hear it as a stand-alone track, I am drawn in by the unique melodic progression and it gets better with every listen. Not quite at the level of Neverending Night yet, but very close...
:)

12. Dave Rodgers ft. M.Landau - All Around The World [A-Beat C]
You tell me...

13. AAA - Hide & Seek -SCP ReVamp Mix [Avex/SCP]
For an SCP produced track, this seems to have a far meatier sounding kick drum than their stand-alone Eurobeat productions. From what you can hear of the vocal melody in this short sample, the chorus has that classic anime feel about it and I can see myself listening to this quite a lot. The lack of any real synth hook disappoints me, but it may just be the part of the track that was chosen. I'm keen to hear more...
8)

14. Go2 - Don't Turn It Off (Headrush Version) [SCP]
If anyone can pull off a rock remix of one of their tracks, then these guys can! I'll be honest, the overall production does sound like it's lacking a key bass ingredient to ground it - it ends up sounding like an insane rock breakdown before the kick drum sparks into life again, but that moment never comes. This sounds a million times better than Wild Reputation from 201 though and I actually think the song suits this arrangement a bit better than the Eurobeat production previously released. A so-so reaction for now, but hopeful for a more rounded sound in the full version...
:|

Top 3 tracks for now:
Irene - Coolover
Cherry & Luke - Go Shinkansen!
Paul Harris - Dreamlover

Bottom 3 tracks so far:
Princess F. - Internet Kills The Eurobeat Stars
Bubbles - Hanky Panky
Go2 - Don't Turn It Off (Headrush Version)

Hoping to be able to hear the Dave and Apple tracks soon, but overall these samples have impressed me a lot and I'm more confident about this decade now after the mega-shaky start from 201...
