A majorly mixed bag here - no real killer samples like SEB 203, and sadly there are a couple that just turn me off completely. I have a feeling this may be a disappointing release:

01 JAGER - I WON'T FALL APART (SCP)
I can understand the reference given previously to a more poppy style, as the vocal melodies are very poppy (they remind me of Bosson or Mangus Carlsson from Sweden). Fairly interesting sound with catchy hooks a plenty - this is probably the best sample of the bunch.

02 STELLA - FOREVER FLY (SCP)
Round, Round, Round made zero impact on me, and this is no different. Sounds really watery and mushy with too much warbling and not enough energy. :(

03 POWERFUL T. - FACE THE RACE (A-BEAT C)
Fairly typical Powerful T. production and melodies. This isn't going to break any new ground but sounds tuneful at least. :|

04 LOLITA - GOOD LOVE & MYSTERY (GO-GO'S MUSIC)
There are more peaks and dives in this vocal melody than a 747 flying through a thunderstorm (or an ash cloud, to be more current!) This will probably be one of my favourite tracks on the album - the key change in the chorus alone makes me smile. Needs more time to settle in though... :)

05 MANUEL - ALL IS MAGIC (DIMA MUSIC)
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by the bridge - it sounds a bit shouty for my liking. The first couple of lines of the chorus have looped in my head for days now - so that must stand for something. :)

06 MELA - SANDY (ASIA)
Oh jeez - this is horrible. It's like High School Musical meets Grease at a cheesy Eurobeat party. Horrible melodies, ugly vocals - I don't like this at all.

07 DANNY ROCK - RAINBOW (ASIA)
What's with all this positive, major-key junk from Asia on this album. I don't like the sound of this melody either. Marginally more bearable than Sandy at the moment... :(

08 CINDY - SQUEEZE ME (HI-NRG ATTACK)
Oh my god - what the hell is going on?? The vocals sound completely out of tune compared to the backing track. The melodic progression is just horrible. Goes nowhere, and has no replay appeal for me.

09 PAUL HARRIS - BANG BANG (DELTA)
Tonight the DJ just played a BANG BANG?? Excuse me? The synth hook sounds weedy here, and the vocals are very nasally - I thought I had a head cold when I was listening to this. Tuneful to a certain extent... :|

10 MELISSA WHITE - PROMISED DISCOLAND (SCP)
The synchopation in the vocals doesn't sound good to me - it distorts the song title as it's sung so quickly. The melody is clearly influenced heavily by Italo, but it's fairly bog-standard Italo to my ears. Not a massively exciting preview... :|

11 JOE BANANA - CATACLYSM NIGHT (HI-NRG ATTACK)
I'm gradually losing the will to live. Once again, no real melodic merit that I can here - it's just a very haphazard bunch of notes. And the vocals are barely passable...

12 M.O.V. feat. FRANKIE - HEAT ME UP (DELTA)
Is this Heat Me Up or Hit Me Up?? Seriously, I may need some drugs to get through this full album. Once again, the sample stays on the one level and never progresses - the melody, vocals, production - everything is just flat.

13 MAX - TORA TORA TORA REMIX (???)
I never majorly liked the original, so I'm not majorly fussed for an unnecessary remake to be honest... :|

14 ACE - DON'T STOP THE DANCE (weird remix) (SCP)
This is like 90's Bubblegum Pop mixed with Ace of Base and some wannabe US boyband that never made it. Really odd - we can't even get to enjoy Ace's vocals because of the weird beats. :(

Overall, a major piece of poo based on these samples, which seriously makes me depressed. Volume 203 is so awesome - how on earth can the follow up be so unbelievably lame??? Only Jager, Lolita and Manuel have any real potential from this bunch. I'm considering saving my money based on these samples...

HELIUM EMPIRE- believe you me that both offerings look good!!
I guess this to be your code name for HRG Attack, but it's nice to see you are actually picking up on thier new style..

The Two new HRG Attack trax is Live Music Studio sort of Expirimenting with new structures, if you can believe that?. That's why the clips sound kinda off to some of you, while other ones are totally getting it. This is Rimonti and Accantino trying somthing new with the chorus. The riff was also ommited in the preview cause it's a bit different style too....and no I have not heard the trax, just somthing I heard thru the grape vine :D

The only label that really took a **** on me this round would be Saifam. Judfging by these clips;I think Avex just closed thier ears and chose any two songs to take up the missing space of Eurogrooves and Sinclaire(?),which is a real pity cuz Saifam was doing so well with New Tecnological World and Diabolik.

For the record, I just heard the original version of Ace- Don't Stop The Dance...and I'm dancing again. What a great song!

I'm still looking forward to this cd 8)

I noticed there was a change of structure in 'Cataclysm Night', and I'm glad to hear they're trying out new things, but the chorus still sounds like any other recent HRG song. A new structure can't get you very far if everything else is the same.

Okay, honestly, while the first five samples here sounded fairly interesting, this album really seems to lose its drive later on. The only songs I'm really excited about to be honest are I Won't Fall Apart and All Is Magic. The tracks in-between sound fairly decent, but otherwise I'm not interested in this release at all. Everything sounds really generic and uninteresting for the most part, and Hi-NRG Attack's entries don't even sound like complete packages to me. I'm not even sure if the Don't Stop The Dance remix is the same one that I heard before, as I have to agree that the 90's boyband backdrop mixes really awkwardly with the original tune.

Like the_ditz, I'm probably not really even gonna bother buying this whole album. Most likely, I'll just download the first five tracks and maybe give Bang Bang a chance. I like Danny Rock's Rainbow, but I already bought that song a while ago.

New Cindy and Joe Banana songs. I guess HRG isn't dead(quality wise) after all. Alice(I think it is) has retaken the Cindy name (after Melody temporarily took it in Amerigal)

Just from the samples, the only songs that interest me are Jager, Melissa White, Stella, Powerful T. and Paul Harris. The others sound so uninspired. The sample of Don't Stop The Dance has actually been available for a LONG time on the Ritmo & Blu myspace though I believe they're gone now (not checking; don't care lol). The Crazy Loop style from SCP and Mike Snap is very refreshing and despite the popish percussions, the style is still aggressive dance. An interesting mix of the two. The chorus is also killer! Very different chorus style for Eurobeat.

I will probably buy I Won't Fall Apart, All Is Magic and Good Love & Mystery when they are released (since I have the iTunes credit there anyway) but I need a lot more convincing if I'm going to part with any more cash for the other tracks.

Still feeling the bitter sting of the disappointment after hearing these samples... :(

right! Also if you listen closely to Cindy's preview ,you will pick up on the raw piano beats in the chorus.

It seems like Live Music team actually seizd the moment by being one of the few labels to actually submit newer(fresher) material at a pivotal point where a few ABEATc slots are vacant. It's a real shame Saifam didn't.

Another label up for the ABeatC slots is Eurogrooves, who could submit up to 3 songs for 205. Gogo's could get on the ball and get two slots as well and Sinclaire better start producing at a faster rate or he will be left behind. :P

So what is to become of Futura?

I think these next three cds are really important to see which labels will snag up the vacant ABeatC slots . AbeatC will probobly still get a slot, but these developement might be the break that the producers wait for.

Interesting how there appears to be unanimous approval over 'I Won't Fall Apart.' We haven't achieved that since 'Runaway' by Leo River, I believe.

I still can't hear what's so "fresh" about HRG here. In my opinion, HRG are the biggest abusers of the loudness war of any label, and that seriously detracts from the quality of their productions. The two songs here sound like a fusion of everything they've done in the last three years with a slight change in the chorus structure. You must have keen hearing to pick up on those raw piano beats in 'Squeeze Me' since everything else going on in the chorus seems to be swallowing it up. Oh well. I guess I'm harder to please.

On the other hand, that Manuel song sounds better and better the more I listen to the sample, haha. I can't wait for the full release.

Well, I'm not exactly creaming over it like everyone else. I actually also think the Manuel clip sounds much better- In fact based on previews alone,I would choose the HRG trax.followed by Manuel-Mellisa White-Paul Harris for the Bang Bang title and then a toss up between Jager and Powerful T.,,,and that's pretty much it, cause that Heat Me Up clip is starting to get on my nerves. That's about 7 songs that I'm likely to enjoy.

I'll still get it ,because that's actually 2 trax more than I liked out of SEB 187.

very subtle, but they are there.,,,and I agree HRG's productions are buisy as hell; layered vocals, messy synths and even incoherant soundworlds, but that's what I always liked about them. To me they are the exact opposite of my prefered label; Eurogrooves.

Anyway, could this SEB 204 be getting any more anticipation? :???:

_____________________________________________

1. I WON'T FALL APART / JAGER
This sample sounds awesome, I like the ''oah oah'' part. Probably my favorite of the album! The riff's going to be great, Im sure!
10/10

2.FOREVER FLY / STELLA
What a wonderful voice does Stella have! I adore the way of singing, AWESOME SONG!
I like the long notes alot! Perfect!
10/10

3.FACE THE RACE / POWERFUL T.
Hmm.. what is this? I like Powerful T's voice but there's something wrong with the melody of this song!
6/10

4.GOOD LOVE & MYSTERY / LOLITA
I like Lolita's voice, this song sounds quite good! I just don't like the way they repeat the chorus. Oh.. the riff: GOOD!
7,5/10

5. ALL IS MAGIC / MANUEL
This sound very ''oldskool'' to me, to be honest I don't like the riff very much, I wanted a different riff but there were some people who didn't agree with that ahah.. other parts which cannot be heard in this sample are good!
7/10

6.SANDY / MELA
Hmm.. nop
4/10

7.RAINBOW / DANNY ROCK
Quite good SAIFAM song, not bad, not bad at all!
6/10

8.SQUEEZE ME / CINDY
I only like this because it has such a strange melody in the beginning of the song.. and I like the chorus too! Usually I don't like HRG at all because their songs sound annoying..., but this song doesn't sound ''annoying'' at all. It's hmmmm SPECIAL.
6/10

9.BANG BANG / PAUL HARRIS
Boring vocals... that's all I can say.
Oh no, one more thing; The riff = OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 points for the riff!
7/10

10.PROMISED DISCOLAND / MELISSA WHITE
She sings ''a promised discoland'' way too fast, that's why I think the chorus sounds a bit odd! Anyway I love Melissa White's vocals and I'm sure that I will like this song!
8/10

11. CATACLYSM NIGHT / JOE BANANA
Experimental..... strange melody and omg I really dunno why but this song sounds quite good to me, I really don't understand what Joe Banana is singing about but I like the melody.
7/10

12.HEAT ME UP / M.O.V. feat. FRANKIE
I think this song is one of the worst of the album, what's up with the riff? and the vocals?
3/10

13.TORA TORA TORA (2010 YEAR OF THE TIGER REMIX) / MAX
I'm fed up with Night Of Fire, Try Me, Tora Tora Tora, Seventies and all these classic songs, stop.. please STOP!
3/10

14.DON'T STOP THE DANCE (VINTAGE 2001 DELUXE VERSION) / ACE
Why is everybody nagging about this song? I think it sounds good!
9/10
