thanks. At least now I can check her out on youtube. I honestly didn't even know who she was.All of these are remixed versions of Ayumi 'The queen of J-Pop' Hamasaki's songs from her various albums. Suffice to say you probably don't even know who she is judging by your comments so of course you won't have a clue.

Remixing her tracks helped Eurobeat's popularity in the last big boom in Japan.

The tracklists of the first 3 albums can be found there. Like SEB back then, the remixes were all done by Time, ABeatC and Delta.
With the release of this and the Girl Next Door Eurobeat remix albums it looks like avex is pushing to get Eurobeat back in to the mainstream in one way or another.

Avex stated that the release of avex trax CDs, including ayu-ro mix 4, was postponed due to the aftermath of tohoku earthquake.
SEB 213 is not on the list, so it will be released on time.
I don't expect this release to help eurobeat gain more popularity in japan because among japanese people Ayumi is not that popular than she used to be when previous ayu-ro mixes were released.......

Ayumi Hamasaki have sold somewhat 50 million copies of her albums...which is the third largest sales record made by single artist in japan.thanks. At least now I can check her out on youtube. I honestly didn't even know who she was.

Wasn't ayu-ro mix 4 always released on 3-30? The site doesn't say when it's going to be released, just postponement i think?vinyl12 wrote:http://avexnet.or.jp/tohoku/

It was supposed to be released on that day... The site says 'Changed release date will be noticed on the artists' official websites respectively,' so we have to wait.Tiger wrote:Wasn't ayu-ro mix 4 always released on 3-30? I briefly listened to this album and most of the remixes aren't as good as the ones from 2000s era so I am disappointed
(like Depend on You, Boys & Girls, Fly High). Also, the only remixes that really stand out for me are the Eurogroove ones. The Dima song, Surreal, is very copy-paste in synth usage and it sounds like any other recent Dima song i've heard.
Sunrise is fast HRG style which is very surprising though.
edit: INSPIRE is pretty hot

I have really been enjoying this release. Top remixer goes to Capaldi @ Step you. Just awesome sauce. Inspire a close second, which I have to admit I was REALLY surprised by. I don't think I've ever heard valle blanco do a more italo styled song. One could say he was inspired lol.
Plum and the boys at Akiba Koubou should that they can hold their own with the Italian Labels so major props to them! I really liked the modern day pop influences on the SCP and Gogo's remixes too.
The greatest downfall of this album is that they remixed tracks that have already been done before in the past. It's hard not to have a bias for the previous remixes that have already been done.
