Super Eurobeat 221 (News in page 1!)
I claim for any official information from AVEX... ¬¬ or Labels at least. We all know labels are still producing music, but SEB (to me) is a legend, it can't disappear just like that. If AVEX wants to end the compilation at least they should end it as it deserves to end, with a great final release. But right now I'm so disappointed at the big company.
BTW: I'm glad Tanith (Pamsy) is still recording, techno would lose a great voice if she disappeared.

I'm probobly looking forward most for some new Jay Lehr material. Hotblade also blew my mind with "Disconnected" . How about some Nick Mansel? Would be nice to hear new material from him as well.
Great! Seeing that you can't stick all those songs onto one cd; means more volumes in the future. And I quote:
"AND NOW? Are you ready for the new production? Fastway, Jay Lehr, Irene, Hotblade, Yo Shine, Tanith & Damon, ecc...."

I seriously hope that there are more Pamsy Eurobeat tracks in the pipeline - that would make my whole year!!!MaD wrote:BTW: I'm glad Tanith (Pamsy) is still recording, techno would lose a great voice if she disappeared.
Here's a song with Dark Evil (Fastway) and Tanith. I definitely hear Pamsy here, but I also a tad bit of Irene...
And if SCP is releasing a new hyper techno song--does this mean there could be a new We Love Techpara album? The last album was a few years ago...or is SCP going the way of releasing hyper techno independently like Sinclaire Style is doing?
So many questions!!

They have been the same vocalist since Let's Fly Together. Pamsy has only been in Rok-Matic as far as hyper techno is concerned, La Gatta / Romi / Rosemary / Irene is the female vocalist in most SCP hyper techno tracks.para_rigby wrote:I'm going to sound completely dumb here, but Irene and La Gatta are not the same vocalist are they?the_ditz wrote:Yeah, that's definitely a bit too brash to be Pamsy - La Gatta seems to be a better suggestion

Glad I wasn't off then. Who was the vocalist for Irene on the debut song, "Dancin' Baby"? I sort of feel that I have heard that voice elsewhere. The EBP database lists the vocalist as unknown.Shawaazu wrote:They have been the same vocalist since Let's Fly Together. Is Dancin' Baby not the same vocalist that is used for modern Irene/Yo Shine/Romi tracks only a little more hyped? It doesn't sound like Lucya, Pamsy, or Christine, unless there was another female vocalist hanging around at SCP back then...
I've always been rubbish at trying to decode mystery vocalists though apart from the most obvious

It's probably not the same person as the modern Irene (real name, Linda Ongarelli). My best guess is that it was one of the two vocalists for Kiki & Kika/Fancy from around the Euromach era. Ongarelli's voice is broader and more similar to Elena Gobbi/Lolita/Virginelle, versus the other girl, who's a bit more nasal and not as refined.the_ditz wrote:Is Dancin' Baby not the same vocalist that is used for modern Irene/Yo Shine/Romi tracks only a little more hyped?
