The intro 's melody has that Funkytown beat, but also sounds a bit like Go West"Eye To Eye". the guitar work has that Mr. Mister/Fixx sound. Together they blend into a slower version of "Tarzan Boy"BTW, all these were my favs too.
On the sleeve Thomas seems to be going for the George Michael look.Pierced left ear, Sonny Crocket 5'0'clock shadow.(I swear he has on a leather jacket) I tried in vain for that look, but was too young to grow out the fuzz

Can anything get more 80's? I love it man! Someone take me back please!!!!!!
I got that Eurobeat version too. Now I gonna go hear for the similiarities.
Yes, he is definately easy on the eyes in this picture, and definately going for that "George Michael from Wham"-look.
Listening to this song so many times now on repeat, I realized that it's not a complete cover, but a half cover, since the first part of the a-verse of the Eurobeat version does not use the same lyrics. However, the b-verse does use the same lyrics and also the chorus does as well. I wish it were much longer too! 4:30 is a little short! I'm dying to find the B-side.
The full album was posted on one obscure website for download, but unfortunatley it was removed...The only way to hear that B-side song "Missing You" would be to have to buy the Vinyl.
I'm also curious to find what other songs Karen Jane Wainwright has sung in the 80's other than being the backing vocalist for this song before being signed on with Giancarlo Pasquini (Dave Rodgers) on A-Beat-C Records.
I would love to see a return of this old slower style, similar to how Jay Lehr did on SCP with releasing 2 versions (slower Italo style, and faster Eurobeat style) of "Fallin' In Love Again." I wish he could collaborate with SCP and release such dreamy, emotional songs.
This Italo gem of a song is going up there as one of my all-time favourites by Tomas Marin along side the extended for Mr. Groove - Love in Chinatown. Legendary, for sure.
