Nice, I love that series :)

I kinda miss Ranko ever since she performed in Dreamin' Girl so I hope she'll get to sing in the next volume

Easily the best set of samples and the most consistently awesome Toho release yet. Once again though, I'm left wondering how on Earth I can support the series when they won't make the tracks available for download online. :???:

The thing is that the album is cheaper than a SEB album (1500yen). However, it costs a huge amount to get it out of Japan. You have to use a service that purcahse it for you then ship it back out like http://www.i-tm4u.biz . According to my calculations, if you purcahse from MelonBooks...

1500 [CD] + 1000 [commission] + 63 [Paypal fees] + 525 [domestic shipping] + 1600 [EMS International shipping] = 4688 yen (~50$ US).

Note that there are also Air Mail and SAL but it's unavaialble for first time customers. So, unless you are ready to pay such amount of money for a 47min album, then you are destined to download.

Btw, why aren't those avialble online? While Zun, the creator of Touhou, pretty much gives his rights away to the fandom, he wants the stuff to stay within Japan. So, yeah, TEB will only be purcahsable through that way and at a ridiculous amount of money. You better off downloading imo... I'm pretty sure Elementas would understand and I am pretty sure that if he could make the albums available for us, he would (Elementas is the one running A-One, the label behind TEB).

I know that you can easily find a copy to download, but what I meant was that I actually wanted to show my support and purchase the songs online, since amazing work like this deserves that. Setting up an account on Bandcamp or whatever with digital downloads wouldn't take that much, but I guess they aren't really interested in doing that.

Shame when a lot of the tracks on the TEB series are actually of a far higher quality in terms of composition and productions values than SEB at the moment... :???:

The problem is legal, I believe. The copyright holder, Zun, wish the fan releases stays in Japan. So, they can't setup a bandcamp coz it's available worldwide.

Yes, I figured that would've been the reason behind these releases not being made available online for download. I just think it's such a shame, as every single one of the tracks on this album is just breathtakingly awesome (as I found a link so that I could hear the tracks in full in case you wondered) - by far the strongest TEB yet in my opinion, and I really want to do a full review if I have the time.

Spider's Blood, Feel My Words and Dancing In The Fire are my faves at the moment (they definitely have the most punch) but I adore all of the tracks :D

It has little to do with official territories, and it's not the problem of the genre itself. It's more ZUN's specific rules with how his property is released (he won't let Japanese developers release on the iTunes App Store or Google Play, either), though he will be visiting Anime Weekend Atlanta pretty soon so that may very well change soon as there are prominent figures in the Touhou fandom in the USA.

As well, it IS possible to release Touhou fan-works in non-Japan territories... for free. Hence why I do not require anyone to pay for the few that are sprinkled on my site (and aren't already on A-One releases). If I was approached to cease that practice, I'd do so in a heartbeat.

You're not TOO far off, Dark, but it's not a Eurobeat-specific thing here by any means.
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

Thanks for the precisions, Travis. I knew it was something like that :)
