The lyrics and synths don't mix together especially during the chorus...

It was cool until I heard the vocals... They made my ears bleed.

What / who is Akyra? Any relation to Akyr or is this some independent Eurobeat producer?

edit - Gave this a listen, and tbh you guys are hating. This is sick.

He is a Japanese indie guy who does quite a few remixes of pop songs. I enjoy the sounds he uses. They tend to sound a lot like A Beat C back in the early 2000s.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. The sounds in this particular song reminded me alot of R20 Works by Norm Schiavone from Fantasy Dance Tracks.

So is this whole Indie Eurobeat thing gaining momentum? I stopped actively listening to Eurobeat around the time Odyssey Music started up. I've ran into a couple of indie acts lately when I was randomly browsing the forums, like an Acivii Eurobeat remix on Soundcloud. Can't remember the producer. Are there any other active indie producers?

I agree with Lebon that The music is good, but once Jason Derulo starts siging: it loses all Eurobeat credential. At least for me it does. I'm all for Indie Eurobeat, but I would hate to see the name Jason Derulo on any Eurobeat realted compilation.

Drnrg, I hardly think think that would happen anytime soon.

Gruzky, go to the Making Eurobeat sub thread and you can find people that are doing indie euro or just search "euro remix" on YouTube for some cool stuff. Akyra is my fave personally because he's made a remix of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" for my boyfriend. That was pretty awesome!

I think the remix, though not his best, is awesome. Akyra and Travis are hands down the best indie guys right now and even better than some Avex licensed producers.
