Songs Selection!
Songs Selection!
Ok, this question might be a little bit technical,Mr newfield are you around here?
I would like to know how does the process of selecting the songs from all the different studios in italy that goes in every Super Eurobeat series works? Who is the guy in charge of doing this task?

Well, 'the guy' would seem to be a few people at avex who just basically look over the catalogs of the studios, choose which songs they want, pay the studio for the rights to use the song and then put it into the album. It's quite simple.
It's usually up to these people to pick and choose which songs they want to put in a given SEB... of course, in the grand scheme, it really doesn't matter which songs he picks, because in the end, most cataloged songs will end up on an SEB at some point... the studios just have to keep up with avex and release enough (or more) songs to meet the quota for songs avex wants to purchase.
At least, this is how I understand it to work.

well...someone gonna shoot me!!!
there is one guy in charge 4 selecting at avexxsss and until SEB 161 there was a kind of political priority choice for that...I mean the oldest label got the biggest amount of tracks.AbeatC rules,Time was n°2 until Delta reached them due to the fact that Time went down with quality.
When avexxxss stopped euromach, the "B" class labels went behind the "A" class. So,we then had SCP,HRG and Led joining the 3 tenors.
But now,the best songs the biggest room.As you can see on 162 I got 4 as D.R. ,Time,SCP&Saifam 3 and HRG 1.
Led is out of biz.Mauro got his sit on the bus.
"Carry on baby" is an old song they never release, not my mix,you can tell by the sound.
for your info 160 reached 60.000 units

LED is *out of business*? Or just off of SEB?
That's kinda sad if it's the former, since they got me into eurobeat...
60.000 units...
Assuming 15 Euros per cd...
Avex gets 900000EUR.
Divide by 100, that's 9000 EUR per song... Even cutting that in half for Avex is 4500 / song...
I've always wondered how much you guys get per song. With the numbers you mention, it never seems like that much, but considering other things, maybe my math/estimating skills are off...
Hmm... So you're saying the number of songs now will be a bit more varying? Well other than S... I mean DELTA getting the majority on each cd?
Although the ratio as it is seems pretty good and even.

LED's out of business (Vibration)? (correct me if I'm wrong) So, what's Davide Di Marcentoni doing now? I'm a bit lost.
That actually sounds like a good idea; the better the songs, the more space on each CD. Hm. I wonder if Space Cowboy by Mega NRG Man will be put on a CD soon then....? I can hope.

Does Domino really have, or is starting, a new label? Interesting. I'd like to see him [Davide] working for Delta or A-Beat C.

The way I understand it, she's already started it.Sadie wrote:Does Domino really have, or is starting, a new label? Interesting.
Avex chose, however, to do the LED/BBB substitution instead of incorporating her new label into the 160s.
This statement, of course, is at best a speculation. I heard it on the PPS boards, actually.
