This is a really classic Delta track.
Love it when Sleeve art appears out of the blue.

Choosing TIME records with one of Maltese most under rated songs.
"Shakedown"
I love the whole lyric play in the chorus. Sounds like something Gino Caris woulda written.
and I have pretty decent sleeve art image to go along with it.

Bliss - Higher Higher More and More | Totally in love with this atmospheric take on euro. I admire the choice of melodyne as a stylistic effect on the main vocals.
Classic Pick
Linda Martin - Stay | Actually hated this one at first, but quickly grew to love it!

"Thy body speaketh falsehoods!" - Norma Sheffield
That's a nice old Domino song! I had to get used to it as well.MiKong wrote:Linda Martin - Stay | Actually hated this one at first, but quickly grew to love it!
I haven't beein listening to Victoria - Play Time (TRD1393) for more than ten years probably, but it got stuck in my head all day so that's my choice for today.

I had no idea Domino was behind those vocals?. "Stay" is one of my top 5 Flea songs ever.jeurobeat wrote:That's a nice old Domino song! I had to get used to it as well.MiKong wrote:Linda Martin - Stay | Actually hated this one at first, but quickly grew to love it!

THE FLIPPERS / YOU'RE IN DANGER
I miss this old Italodisco sound a lot. It needs to become popular again with the Eurobeat production studios. This track is heavy on the Italo sound, as were most of Mauro's tracks in this era.

The girl on the cover isn't Domino indeed, but the vocals are. She sings much higher nowadays but if you listen to Domino - Fever (MIX356) or Hot Confession you may recognise that she also sings "Stay". It is one of my favorite Flea songs as well!drnrg wrote:I had no idea Domino was behind those vocals?. "Stay" is one of my top 5 Flea songs ever.
