Labels on "DigiBeat" and "That's Eurobeat now
After finishing to "That's Eurobeat now" series I found out that the common stly on those cd's is somewhat different than the Super Eurobeat or other series.
I don't have the complete "DigiBeat" series in my collection (only a few songs) but I discovered quite a few artists featured on the "That's Eurobeat now" series are also on the "DigiBeat" series. This has made me very curious about the labels of the featured artist. In particular JENNIFER (not JENNIFER BATTEN), KATRINA (same artist as KATARINA?), ANGIE and DEBBIE.
Frankly enough I can't find any information on the "That's Eurobeat now" series anywhere regarding the labels. This counts also for the "DigiBeat" series. (or maybe I don't search too well) I presume they are all from Saifam/Asia/BBB but I want to know if for sure.
Could someone please help me out with this problem? Thanks in advance!

That's Eurobeat Now is a different thing though. The materials on those albums are heavily Saifam-esque. Not really eurobeat for the most part, as it's way closer to eurodance over all. I don't honestly know much about TEB Now either, I would've added the series to the album database but barely know the tracklistings.Jayveemon wrote:The Digibeat series was by Chapter One website is...

Thanks for the help!
I think I understand it better now. But, following the "That's Eurobeat" series I'd say the music on "That's Eurobeat now" is more of an evolved version of Italo... Well, I'm not here to discuss what's true eurobeat and what is not eurobeat.
I guess the "That's Eurobeat now" series is a vague border in that matter. Especially when it's produced by Japanese producers. Don't we see that same continuation in the new "Super Eurobeat presents: Initial D" series?

Yep, I'd say tr.8 to 13 on Super Eurobeat Presents - Initial D 4th Stage - D Selection + are Japanese products if I understand properly what you mean.Toni wrote:Don't we see that same continuation in the new "Super Eurobeat presents: Initial D" series?
Also in the early days of SEB we see some Japanese Eurobeat songs.

vol.10
Rick Wild - Animal Man
Christy - Mystery Of Our Love
vol.11
Rick Wild - Fight For Your Life
Kelly Marshall - Now I Know
vol.14

vol.17

We can often find the name "Dino Starr" in the credit of these songs, eh?
Dino Starr is the alias of Yasuhiko Hoshino when he composes Eurobeat.
He is also famous as Maxmizor and Starr Gazer for his creation of techno tracks like "Can't Undo This", or more commonly (in Japan) for writing songs for Ayumi Hamasaki.
"DigiBeat" label has nothing to do with him, though.

I don't think there are all japanese. Some persons that are in credits: Lisa Wilson, A.Tripoli, T.Moran, A.Cabrera, Antonio Matto, Vanroberd Leeuwen. These names don't seem to be japanese.oresama-chan wrote:They are Japanese Eurobeat (not J-Euro), I mean the producer and composers of those tracks are Japanese.
Personally, eurobeat from Digibeat is a very high class product.

Well, maybe the series seem to include a few cover songs, right? A.Tripoli, T.Moran, A.Cabrera are the songwriting team of the cover girls (American girls dance unit in late '80s) and Latin Rascals and Vanroberd Leeuwen is the writer of Shocking Blue famous for Venus covered many times. I didn't check the tracklists, though.burado wrote: I don't think there are all japanese. Lisa Wilson is not a composer but a lyricist. You know, few Japanese can write natural English songs unless he/she was born and grew up in English-speaking countries, and so they need to rely on English speakers when it comes to writing lyrics. (so I couldn't participate in the SEB lyric contest

Just for your information, Digibeat is now mainly producing game music for
X-rated and dirty video games, so called EROGEE (erotic game) in Japanese

But do you know his real name?oresama-chan wrote:Yeah, he is Japanese born in Hokkaido.burado wrote:I see. I need to check all track listings, but I think you're right. Do you think EURO KING is a japanese?
H.G. MIX = C.G. mix = EURO KING
and Piccolina is a pseudoname of Mitsuko Komuro.
And has Mitsuko something to do with Tetsuya Komuro?

No, I dunno his real name. That's Eurobeat Now series and DigiBeat Euro series were not so popular even among Japanese eurolistners because of the poor quality of their products, they say.burado wrote: But do you know his real name?

Mitsuko Komuro has nothing to do with Tetsuya Komuro.
