Crockett wrote: 14 Mar 2017, 16:30How many from A.Beat-C.? Never couldn't compare, but I'm aware. Maybe with mp3 rips, but noone really describes a file what source he used. Seeking 5:30 - 6:00 minutes for me is already enough and I can't "accuse" Avex Trax for any change. Durations listed on Discogs often are untrue, again no chance to compare.
I don't know. I usually listen to the original vinyl songs and occasionally I hear older songs on Avex compilations. Then suddenly a song skips a part I expected. Worst being Mega NRG Man - Dog Eat Dog. This cd version is only 4 minutes. The vinyl version is almost 8 minutes. It might sound too long for many, but I think it is great as long as it is.
I really hated when that happened. Especially if it was a favorite part of mine. There is a song by De Niro called called "Out Of Control"

The vinyl is about 6:00 mins long; while the SEB version slices off a whole minute. The worst part is; they cut a great synth solo towards the end out. Someone actually uploaded the real extended version on youtube, but it was shit quality. Those of us who have the vinyl; Are blessed.

Sorry for offtopic, but it reminded me subtle conclusions from reviews of the very first SEB volumes.

Not really outrageous reading "the sounds are pretty primitive" or "the album also has a lot of crappy tracks".

drnrg, you still like the vinyl versions, what in on independent release, even we live in 2017.

I appreciate the reviews, however for close to me the most early Eurobeat, just sometimes should be prepared by persons without prejudices, bias and with big awareness. :)
I'm not completely sure what the question is, because of the way it is worded, but if you are asking if I prefer the sound of vinyl to CD; The answer would be yes. Not only Eurobeat, but rock and all 70's and 80's music as well.

back to Eurobeat.
Something about the sound of vinyl; especially labels like TIME, Flea, early DELTA, AbeatC, HRG Attack and saifam, was crisper and clearer. I'm talking about 87-96 or so. After that the vinyl sound became muffled. I don't know if the lables were trying to pass the CD sound to vinyl or what it was; it began to sound distorted. I think cramming 6 songs on one vinyl did something to the quality. IDK?

IF the vinyl were still being pressed in 2017 and still sounded clearer; I would still be buying them.

My song for tonight is the very crisp and clear sounding Delta vinyl version of

Marko Polo - Money Go

HOTEL CALIFORNIA / MARK

This song is quite the masterpiece in my opinion. The production is simply amazing and hyper. The riff is just crazy. Yes, it is a Eurobeat cover of the song by The Eagles. It is probably my favorite Digibeat / Chapter One song, even more so than "You Are The One." Too bad there is not a ParaPara routine for it that I know of. Vocalist is unknown too like many of the Chapter One songs. I remember asking "Jennifer" several years ago but she told me she didn't remember unfortunately. All that is known is that the vocalists were from Los Angeles area.

I wish Chapter One would return but given that it has been 16 years with no new release, I doubt it and won't hold my breath.

A chance to find here any person with awarness to serious discussion about history of Eurobeat is very low, so I’m a master of offtopics anywhere. :D

The point is how so f*cking good is to see a fan, who has own strong standpoint, who see obvious advantages of former records format in Eurobeat, and for example in contrast to these subtle negative though conclusions in early SEB volumes reviews, you haven't distorted opinion by japanese mainstream 2000's reality, created by monopolist Avex Trax even is the year 2017.
