Top 3 :
New Dirty Road / Ace
Set My Heart In Flames / Tora
Burning Inside Out / Seastar

Bottom 3 :
Never Know Why / Mela
One Night Driller / Claudia Vip
Foxy Love / Manuel & Lolita

HM :
Love & Diamonds / Cherry
A very good review. I would basically just change the praise from SCP to HRG Attack , but that would be expected of me.

Now vinyl was a different story, but in about 10+ years of ordering from Europe, I only recieved one broken vinyl. Up to this date, I have not been able to find that particular record.
I worked at post.

1. In Poland that any post worker keep "special" care of a package during transit you need buy this option. Nobody pays attention on home, handwritten "Fragile" word. It has no official importance. You may paint there Rilakkuma and the same. :D

2. Guys from USA, such big countries - millions or more letters, packages daily go through the hands of people supporting sorting centers of the national post, courier companies.

It's a bit selfish to require that automatic sorting machines, the more a single person will read label card "Super Eurobeat", so they will handle with this like with an egg, because they have to do only your item...

3. Plastic case is usually never graded by any long term, high rated sellers. Most of them pack CD to bubble wrap envelope. It's a registered letter. How many times and when it might be broken is only random situation. I never got nothing broken.

If you prefer cardboard box with 5 layers of bubble foil - pay for this, but you can't complain that's too expensive. ;)

Sending a box is much more expensive than letter by private sellers. In a letter should be only books or documents, no merchandise. Who chooses a letter resign from well protection, breaks the post service rules and there is no right to complaint.

Well, if someone purchases exclusively news and has no experience with collecting CDs from around the world from third party private collectors, he can focus on online shops offer and demand perfect treatment, otherwise impossible. :)

I feel Foxy Love would have been better had someone else at GoGos did the production of the track. The basslines in Manuel's tracks just aren't driving/energetic like his old ABeatC tunes are. What happened at GoGos music? Their earlier productions had such life and bounce to them.

I actually enjoyed "Foxy Love" more than The bulk of Manuel's previous tunes. There was no weird ,chaotic ,off- tune melodies; that he usually throws at us out of the blue, in every other song. The problem with this kind of slower BPM song, is that it definitely needs to have a longer run TIME. The way it runs now; it sounds like a radio edit; which really isn't bad at all. If any SEB tune ,off this cd ,would get radio exposure, I think it would be this one.

Quick review. # Stars only w/minor comment if any.

Exemples: ★★★★ = 4 points
★★★★½ = 4.5 points.

Max 5 points.

1. Burning Inside Out / Seastar (4:21) - ★★★★★
Love this aggressiveness!

2. Foxy Lady / Manuel & Lolita (4:18) - ★★★
Messy production. I would have prefered a fast BPM over this slow one. So, stop these sex lyrics and be mature for once. FFS.

3. Never Know Why / Mela (5:14) - (No stars)
No.

4. New Dirty Road / Ace (04:06) - ★★★★★
HELL YEAH. Awesome stuff. But let's waste 8sec to lead the song in. >.>

5. Set My Love In Flames / Tora (5:00) - ★★★★
Is it just me or thais track is REALLY bass heavy? A bit too much, imo.

6. One Night Driller / Claudia VIP (5:05) - ★★★
I want to like it more than that but.... heh... very generic production.

7. You My Eurobeat / Paul Harris (5:05) - ★★★★½
Surprise of the album. If only they could change the sound more often like on this track.

8. War / Dream Fighters (5:06) - ★★★½
I want to like this more but it'll end up like "Shoot!" where I just skip it. So, it's good but that's it.

9. Twist & Shake / Dee Dee Wonder (5:00) - ★★½
That aishu sound in the riff does nothing for me so, it doesn't help the score one bit. Otherwise, it's "okay". Just as generic as the one HRG song before it.

10. Stay Together Now Or Never / David Dima (5:38) - ★★★
Depression land. Dima should just leave and do emo rock. Seriously. That break down @ 1:32 reminds me of "Because Of You" by Ace.

11. Love & Diamonds / Cherry (5:25) - ★★★
This sounds incredibly basic. The riff is good but the rest is so barebone.

12. Across The Rainbow / Louise (5:05) - ★★★½
How many time can you repeat the same formula over and over? It's OK, bonus half-point for the chorus.

13. One More Dance / Elly (4:10) - ★★★★★
Heck yeah. More agressive stuff. SCP is really killing it!

14. Rocket To New Planet / Bon (5:06) - ★★★★★
Nice catchy and aggressive sounds. Bonus point for lyrics that make sense.

15. My Exit Heaven / Bamboo Bimboo (4:01) - ★★★★★
So, this time we got Christian and a guest female vocalist in the chorus as backup. Amazing track. Catchy as hell.

Best 3:
*Put All SCP tracks here*

Bottom 3:
"Never Know Why" / Mela
"Twist & Shake" / Dee Dee Wonder
"One Night Driller" / Claudia VIP

Honorable Mention:
"You My Eurobeat" / Paul Harris

Overall: ★★★
Overall thoughts: It becomes more and more depressing these days. I feel that Avex is putting too much creative strain. Where's the speed? I don't remember the last song that was over 160 BPM (ie. 161 BPM and up). Where are the power track (such as "Power Of Sound" by Ace)? Where is the innovation? I bet Avex's orders are "do more of the same! And less than 160 BPM!" because it's exactly what we have album after album. It gets boring as hell. Yeah, sure, SCP and SInclaireStyle are really aggressive. Delta is a mix traditional and aishu. Dima has gone full aishu. HRG is... well, if they had one song per compilation, we would hear them all unless it's another "Dr. Wesson And Mr. Smith". GGM is a SCP clone if it's Kaioh and Manuel is his own thing. I thought Sandro was back with Mega NRG Man? It was a 1 track come back? What about Roberto Gabrielli and Roberto Festari? Was "I Love You From My Soul" also a 1 track come back? *sigh*

P.S I did look up the last song that was 161 BPM and up: "SEB 4 U <Wild Mix>" by SEB All-Stars Feat. Andrea Martongelli at 161 BPM. That was on SEB 222. That released March 20 2013. So, it's been 4 years that we haven't gotten a super speedy track on SEB. I bet that the last 165 BPM and up track is even older than that... probably in the 190's.

AHAHAHAHAHAH SO TRUE. It's a pity, since their entry on SEB242 (Under the power of my heart) was really good...

I mostly agree with the exception of Twist & Shake. I feel like the production on that track is more solid than other entries, and that the piano gives it a nice aishu, more mature feeling.

I personally expected a bit more from the preview than what we actually got from the full album. Maybe I hyped too much coming from SEB242...

Two paradoxes.

1. This is why suddenly since 2008/2009, even much earlier you can't read anymore on the Avex Trax tracklists such names like L. Gelmetti, Federico Di Bonaventura, that's why A.Beat-C. broke up after L. Raimondi, F. Rizzolo, A. Contini have left the label.

Of course no one of them will not tell you openly in the public post on Facebook what they really think.

A lot of tastes are exactly the same like Lebon14. It's understandable reading these opinions anywhere, that artists prefer to be quietly.

2. For some passion is excuse to making Eurobeat until the present day. For some passion is too much important excuse to stop making this kind of Eurobeat.

Two paradoxes.
Let me clear this up. It's not a paradox. I just badly written what I wanted to say.

In the first quote, I meant the Avex of today. Avex today orders the label to do that.
However, in the past, two or three SEB directors ago, they were more lenient on BPM. Asia and Delta really loved to push the BPM boundaries in SEB.

Tracks like...

"Queen" by Mark Foster (164 BPM)
"Domino" by Alvin (162 BPM)
"Chemical Love" by Kevin & Cherry (165 BPM)
"Burning Up The Night (Total Fire)" by 2 Fast (170 BPM)
Etc.

There even was some other well loved tracks too by other labels:
"Midnight Love" by Neo (162 BPM) [A-Beat-C]
"Ready Steady Go" by Manuel (163 BPM) [GGM (First track)]
"Tokyo Strike Force" by Nick Turbo (163 BPM) [Hi-NRG Attack]

Today, like I demonstrated, it's all 160 BPM or less. The less the better. The change of SEB directors have something to do with it. And thus, it's not a paradox.

Yeah...... But it's worth mentionning, considering my argument.

You have to admit that they all sound the same nowadays, to a various degree. Heck, it even goes to the structure.

Glad you guys liked that so much.
And yeah, "Under The Power Of My Heart" was amazing; definitely an highlight of SEB 242. I would just hope that one day Avex just stops being dumb and drop all "SPEED RECORDS" song and stop re-labelling them as eurobeat because they're not.

Yeah, I got it.

I mean, maybe paradox is a proper word just for the fact, that your or someobody's wishes regarding the Eurobeat style, in general more or less similar to the current Avex Trax policy, are anyway the real reasons why some artists don't want to produce Eurobeat at all or for this publisher - since a specified moment.

The company do own things - fans still buy and accept the music.

The more paradox should be a good term for limit of passion set up by both groups of composers - present and dispresent on SEB due to exactly these features.

It would be great for tracks to return to bpm's that are 160 or higher. I'm ready for more Kiki & Fancy / Scream Team tracks from SCP, and I'm ready for Hi-NRG Attack to find a new drum sample, and I'm ready for the genre as a whole to get its aggressiveness back.

Scroll up the page and take a look at names, before your short review. I'm serious.

You remember when I wrote he is willing to create Eurobeat again. But... :

1. SEB is the only CD series.

2. Avex Trax is the only publisher.

3. Akyr also seems to be finished trial of something different, new, independent.

I don't interview everybody about detailed standpoint, however the pressure of trends, stable mark of SEB, not matter with how decreased popularity, is year by year more discouraging for an artist, who already several years ago left the company because of its sound.

You can count that he has been over 3 decades in the dance music industry. Hardly anyone like him has been observing all transformations, worked with all possible publishers, had contact with 4 generations of fans and so on...

There is no doubt why he and more producers made these, no other decisions. They are Italians, no Japanese, have own feelings to music and too wide experiences and comparisons.
