Welcome! We definitely need more young people around and also more italians!
It's a shame eurobeat is so unknown in the country where it pretty much was born and grew famous
Yeah, indeed. No matter what, if you ask anyone here "do you know what Eurobeat is?" you'll only get one answer: "What? I've never heard of it."
And that's even more odd if you think that I live in Northern Italy, so basically you can't get any closer to Eurobeat than this. Well, at least that's my experience irl. On the Internet I know a decent number of Italians that listen to Eurobeat, but most of them know Initial D more than Eurobeat itself (heck, I can't even blame them, buying a SEB is so unnecessarily complicated that approaching seriously the genre isn't even that easy or immediate, at least imho).
On a less serious note, I've listened to Eurobeat for just 2 mere years now, so I'm definitely a newbie of the genre, that being said, I hope I'll keep in contact with it for a very long time, no matter what, even though the recent announcement of the discontinuation of SEB "hit" us (well, it wasn't a big surprise for sure, but it's sad nonetheless) and the future looks so uncertain, at least to me. Thank you for the welcome
