I liked it. May be the only one other than Phil... -_-;

Then again, I love cheery, girly-type eurobeat. Although the song didn't fit much with Domino's voice, I think. Or the other way around.

I love Fuku Wa Uchi!, it was peppy upbeat and I thought fit Domino perfectly.

I think it would've fit Kiki & Fancy better.

But still no clue why so many people hate it. It's based on a festival song! Of course there's gonna be cute children, Japanese text and happiness!

Oni wa soto!

Fuku wa uchi!

I don't understand why people don't like it myself. I really can't go on without extreme bias, but I'll still try. :P I've read that some people don't like it because it's in Japanese. *shrugs* Domino likes singing in the language, and she does it pretty well concidering she's Italian. Plus, singing a song about a Japanese event in English would be pretty odd. Second, I've also read about it sounding really childish - a lot of people like the music from Baby Bazooka, Sticky, Tricky & Bang etc., it's all happy, upbeat, and pretty much the style we have been getting from Domino since Tora Tora Tora, and many other artists~ I love all kind of Eurobeat, the happy upbeat kind, the balids, the 'rock' like ones - it's all good. =D

Of course, everyone has their own opinions, but I'm really psyched about this song, especially since it's been Domino's first song released since SEB144 (!) and that it's was done with SCP. =) 5 stars, two thumbs up, and all that jazz from me!

I didn't hate it. I actually love the music. Now as for it being in Japanese I'm not really a fan of Japanese singing in Eurobeat. I know it was done for an event it's just not my forte. It's a wonderful song though so for me to give it a 4/5 is saying much about how good it actually is.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

I see quite different opinions about Domino's last song. I think the song is really nice.. the only thing I don't like too much it's her childish voice. It hurts my nerve... I hope she will do another song in the usual way she did in the past years.. nothing in japanese pls....

I just made a final attemp listening to Fuku Wa Uchi to see if could find anything interesting, but nothing.I can only imagine those japanese school girls listening to those type of girlie songs. The voice is too childish.

The song sounding childish does irritate me, and I have yet to like a eurobeat song with a childish feel.
However, I don't dislike the song. It's good, but as I said before, not what I was expecting or anricipating. She's done several songs far better. The song isn't bad though.

Haha.. you guys don't need to reply explaining in detail why you guys don't like the song (though my above post did suggest I wanted that. XD) You guys all have your likes and dislikes in the Eurobeat genre, same with me. That's why Eurobeat isn't one dimentional, and if it was it would get really boring really fast. :P

To further expand on my opinions of Fuku Wa Uchi though...

...and before I do - I just wanna say that Domino could be singing a song about dirt, in Tongues, and I'll love it to death. XD

I honestly believe that this is one of Domino's best Japanese songs to date. We all know Tora Tora Tora, Play With The Numbers, Spinning Like A Top, etc. etc. etc... To my ears, Fuku Wa Uchi tickles me in a way no other Japanese Domino song has. To be honest, the only other Japanese song of hers that I can say surpasses Fuku Wa Uchi is Take A Chance and Gotcha.

Though, many other Domino songs, her English ones, definately have a large ground over Fuku Wa Uchi, and all her other Japanese ones. Her cover of ELT's "Feel My Heart" is, and will always be my favorite track of hers.

I can understand, though, people not liking the song because it's in Japanese. A lot of people I know like music where they can understand the lyrics. One of the reasons I've adored Domino and don't mind the language her songs are sung in is because I'm in love with every language, I love that her, a white Italian woman, can sing in Japanese (regardless of if she can pronounce every word perfectly or not,) and I really love listening to all sorts of music in different languages. I have a large rage of music I listen to these days, especially since I haven't been involved in Eurobeat as much as I have in the past, and many of the songs include the songs sung in languages like German, Polish, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian and Punjabi. Though, I can't understand a word anyone sings (though, at times there are English Eurobeat songs where I can't understand wtf they're singing about XDDD), but I really enjoy listening to them~ ;D

My major qualm with Domino has to be her voice. I find it irritating for a lot of the songs she does. That being said, she has a few songs that grab my attention as being good... those which deviate from her usual style, I find.

To Say to Do to Kiss, for example, I don't mind so much. I also don't mind Popteen or Mickey Mouse March. Gotcha's not bad either, the one with more english that is.

For Phil and anyone who loves this song.

Fuku Wa Uchi

sotowa samuiyone (So I wanna go)
kimini aitai konnna hiwa
suki suki daisuki (hontodayo)
motto chikakuni itaino

warau kadoniwa fuku kitaru
wasurenaide
daijidayo
isshoni utaoo! GO!

oniwa soto! fukuwa uchi!
parapara parapara mameno oto
oniwa kossori nigeteyuku
oniwa soto! fukuwa uchi!
parapara parapara mameno oto
hayaku ohairi fukunokami

chiisakatta koro (So I wanna go)
papato mamani osowatta
ano dokidokiwo (tereru kedo)
kimi to ajiwaitakute...

(translation)

It looks cold outside (So I wanna go)
I wanna see you on such days like this
Love you, love you, love you so much (I'm telling you)
I wanna stay closer to you

Fortune comes in at the merry gate
Never forget
It's important
Let's sing together! GO!

Get out, Misfortune! Come in, Fortune!
parapara parapara the sound of beans
Misfortune's getting out on the sneak
Get out, Misfortune! Come in, Fortune!
parapara parapara the sound of beans
Go ahead, come in, Fortune!

When I was a child (So I wanna go)
My dad'n mam told me about
That heartthrob. (I'm bashful, though)
I wanna have it with you...

Enjoy!

p.s.

Phil, you don't have to worry about her Japanese. Trust me, her Japanese pronunciation is nearly perfect, so Japanese ppl who have never heard her singing Japanese songs, or who don't know Domino should think Fuku Wa Uchi is sung by someone Japanese.

Thank you Oresama.. I have tried to sing the song following the text you wrote... It's funny. Do you think she rented an assistant for the japanese pronunciation??

Yeah, I read in Phil's interview with Alessandra that she receives Japanese lessons twice a week from her Japanese teacher called Sachiko. Moreover the lyric writer Akiko Kozato is with her, also some Japanese friends may be available for her Japanese improvement.

Yes to me (not that I am a native speaker!) her Japanese is very good. However she needs to work on her English pronunciation in my opinion. Otherwise she's doin' great!
