Stil Novo records( Nando Bonini on vocals and co-writer)

Post by drnrg » 11 May 2006, 08:53

8) A Nice"Romantic" Italo NRG label that ran from 1990- 1992. One record in particular "Bring Your Love Back To Me"- Roby has a great team of songwriters. See if you recognize one famous singer?
Baldoni-Rosellini-Bertani-Ferrari...and BONINI. Yes Nando lend a hand on composing a lot of the records on this label and of course he does the vocals for this Roby track. Those of you who own the 12' will recognize his style of vocals right away. Much like he used them for Mike Hammer.
My question is why he no longer co-produces Eurobeat. Especially now that Laurent has left DELTA. I'm pretty sure if he would help out on his own tracks (Mako,Dr. Love,Nando) they would be a lot better. :D

Anyways here is a list of other songs he co-wrote on Stil Novo. The list is long. so only true Bonini fans(like ME) will apriciate.seeing his name on the credits.

Just thought all you Nando Bonini fans might find this interesting. The funny thing is that he was allready doing vocals for TIME, so he must have been "Moonlighting" :D I have a lot of the records(about 14 the ones with *) ..and If I had the proper P.C. equiptment to rip 12's, I would post some for all to hear. Sorry ,but I don't :( . But maybe somebody eles might for the rest of you to enjoy .

From what I read somewhere on the net, he's already completely retired from the front line in order to dedicate the rest of his life to Christian music.
He's producing Christian rock operas or musicals teaching young talents in the advanced classes for guitarists.

Ah, and as I said before, you'll find his vocals (in falsetto) on also following tracks, drnrg.

SNR 00290 Riki Visconti - You Make Me Feel So Blue
SNR 00591 Riki Visconti - Man Is For Woman
SNR 00990*
What To Do-Roby
(Baldoni-Rosellini-Bertani-Ferrari-Bonini)

After (and before) Stil Novo, Baldoni and Rosellini had Finzy Records. I don't think Bonini was involved, but for example Finzy Boys - Good Times was really good Stil Novo style. Finzy Records unfortunately already stopped in 1993.

8)Not many people link on this post. Maybe I should have entitled the topic: Stil Novo(Nando Bonini)? You will find a picture of him playing a mean guitar in his Christian Rock group Vasco Rossi.

The link is so damn long because I got it off google

Those of you who can read Italian? can see what else he is up to.

I have that record"Man is For Woman" Wow he does sound different. I didn't think it was him. I knew him on "Bring Your Love back(Unmistakable), but not recognize him on that other track.

The fact that not too many replies, tells me how young our members really are :D

Exactly. I guess the prevailing age bracket on this forum should be of 15 to 25.

Hey, I'm a senior citizen as well! :D There must be more of us out there.
Where is eurobeatz for example?

Anyway, I think this is a very interesting topic! Even though I recognised
the voice of Fernando at the time Stil Novo released songs, I never linked
him with the Bonini writing credits. Maybe that's because I always
regarded him as "the voice of Stop Limit Line, Tension and Maio&Co".

I only know his name is Fernando Bonini from an interview with the grand
Andrea Leonardi a couple of years ago.

Same here. It's not until Laurent told me on this forum that the original author of Max Coveri - Bye Bye Baby was Fernando Bonini, that I could link the vocalist with the song writer.

8) That makes three of us :P I too thought since Fernando was so buisy At TIME, What with Tension, Stop Limit LIne, Maio & Co, Mike Hammer and Sandee Bee, how could he be involved somewhere else.
Very interesting about "Bye Bye baby" I have that 12' and had not noticed that.

Oresama, I got a question. Can you identify any of the other female vocalists on Stil Novo. (I can't)
Trisha, Marystella, or Masha for instance? Be nice to know what happened to some of them.

Female vocalists on Stil Novo

Post by oresama-chan » 13 May 2006, 08:09

Although I've just listened to the CDs including Stil Novo tracks
(17 songs in total, these are what little that I have) for the first time
in abt 15 years (*lmao*), I can identify no one but Clara.

Everytime You Want / Trisha
Silver Kisses / Trisha
Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum / Italian Girls
Love Is For Lovers / Belladonna
Call My Name / Belladonna
Hey Tonight / Italian Girls

6 out of 17 songs are Clara! O_o
She is dominant everywhere!!

Maristella on Believe and Feelings' Paradise, Irene on Sunday and
Marsha on Never Before must be one specific person. I love her very
powerful and soulful vocals, which evoke black female vocals.

Sissi O. on Never Be Lonely and Baby Dolls on Have You Ever Seen
THe Rain is yet another specific person.

That's about it.

8) Thanks! I suspected, but wasn't sure about Clara and besides I have gotten burned before for guessing wrong on lyrics. I even mistook Gino Caria nce., But at least I never mistake Nando.

2. YOU MAKE ME FEEL SO BLUE / RIKI VISCONTI
3. NEVER BE LONELY / SISSI O.

5. ROUND TO MIDNITE / GANGSTER
6. WHAT TO DO / ROBY
7. LOVE IS FOR LOVERS / BELLADONNA
8. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE RAIN / BABY DOLLS
9. PLEASE PLEASE ME / BARBARELLA
10. DON'T STOP THE DANCE / BARBARELLA
11. YEAH YEAH / SABRINA
12. VOLA / SABRINA

EUROBEAT EX VOL.2

1. ROCK JAPAN / M.D.A.
2. BELIEVE / MARYSTELLA
3. SUNDY / IRENE

I don't know about that cuz even the record company, Philips Japan, got out of business age ago, so I guess auction sites are the only place you could
get them with a great deal of luck.

8)Thanks! I'm on that ! Also thanks for the songs. I have "Man Is For Woman, but not that one...and didn't know it was Nando untill you brought it to my attention. "Feelings of Paradise is also very Beautiful. MAn, I sure do miss those Golden Years of Italo. Big band- Turn Off The Light, Michael Fortunati- I'm Not A Freak. Funny thing is that nowadays I'm really hooked on Eurobeat, but it's the fastest stuff that really pumps my blood. :D
