DELTA Female Vocalists

Post by cheeseman » 18 May 2006, 07:16

I've been recently listening to a few songs by Benassi Bros feat. Dhany...
Some of you might know that Dhany is Daniela Galli, who sang "Love Is A Lite" on SEB 147 (as Dany).
She is also in a band called LINKS with Simone Valeo (Dave Simon/Symbol).
Try to compare e.g. "Love Is A Lite" and "Remind Me To Forget" from SEB 167...
Don't you think the newest Madison is Daniela Galli?
I also compared other songs, for example Bang by Pizza Girl with Hit My Heart (Benassi Bros feat. Dhany) and they sound very similar!

What's your opinion?

8)Two songs I did not particularaly cared for...and it's because of the female vocals. She has a sort of English house music style when she sings. However, I want to say that I hear similiarities, but I'm so bad at female vocals; Besides I have been burned before...So let's ask Oresama. He has a real keen ear for female vocals :D

Well yeah, to be honest, Remind Me To Forget isn't that great... But the voice there is very specific, the same goes for Baby Be Happy Because I Love You from SEB 138.
Still, Bang by Pizza Girl is pretty nice if you ask me :) - it even won the 130s BoB tournament (even though I didn't vote because I didn't know most of the songs then).

It's overestimation, drnrg. Actually I mistook Elena Sbalchiero for Stefy Martini no less than twice, even Clara for Elisa once.

Well, as far as I know, Madison on "Remind Me To Forget" isn't Daniela Galli,
but probably Melody Castellari (?) though I thought it was Daniela Rando (not Galli) at first.

Pizza Girl on Bang! is Elena Sbalchiero. TaQ is cho-specialist about these female vocals.

Virginia Toy is Daniela Rando as Mr. Gelmetti said.
Pretty Woman is Roberta Grana'.

Wow! I've never seen these names before (except maybe for Melody)... And I thought they were all the same person!

Anyway, Roberta Granà actually mentions working with Delta on her website. Did she have any other aliases?
Does she have anything in common with Robbie Grain or is it just a coincidence? :)
I can't find much information about Daniela Rando or Elena Sbalchiero on the web... Did they have other aliases as well?

I'm working on a huge database of Eurobeat aliases, so every new piece of information would be appreciated! :D

Heres some examples of the vocals for these artists - they're not every song, just the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

Wonderland/Sara
All I Need is Love/Sara
Memories/Sara
If You Stay with Me/Sara
I'm Looking For Your Love/Sara
Funny Boy/Pizza Girl
Crazy For You/Pizza Girl
Everytime You Go/Pizza Girl
You're My Superman/Pizza Girl
Missing You/Madison
You Can Light My Fire/Madison
Miracle of Love/Crystal

these are all the same vocalist, Gelmetti told me her name is Sara. She's the vocals behind Baby Energy and various other vocalists on Hi-Site, which was on the Europanic! CD series. She's also the vocals on I Will Fly/Cat and the upcomming track on Akyr I Don't Want to Lose You/Carrie.

Slap in the Face/Virginia Toy
Harmony/Virginia Toy
Never Say Goodbye/Virginia Toy
Poison Love/Crystal
Dangerous/Madison (it's hard to distinguish because Clara does a lot of the vocals on this track too)
Mission of Love/Madison

This is Daniela Rando, she also did vocals on Never Fall in Love/Dany L.

Why Not?/Melody
Fly/Melody
Alibi/Melody & Pretty Woman (with Roberta Grana)
Walk a Mile in my Shoes/Crystal
Shake It Up/Drama
Baby Be Happy Because I Love You/Madison
Remind Me To Forget/Madison

That's prolly Melody Castellari

Lucky Star/Pizza Girl
Bang/Pizza Girl
Bye Bye Baby/Pizza Girl
Someone to Love/Denise
Ring a Ling/Denise
Gimme Gimme Love/Denise
One More Time/Sara
Without You/Madison

that's Elena Sbalchiero. She also did the vocals for Ever & Ever/Sophie Sanz on Akyr.

hope that helped distinguish between them all.

Poison Love/Crystal = Nathalie

I still find it hard to tell the difference between Melody Castellari and Daniela Rando :? (maybe Melody sounds even more hoarse than Daniela? And I don't mean anything negative by the word 'hoarse' :D )

And is this Melody Castellari?

now im having a big contridictory feeling, because slap in the face/virginia toy and never say goodbye/virginia toy do sound more like the songs i've listed as Melody casteralli rather than Danniela Rando's, but as far as I know Gelmetti works with Danniela and Leonardi works with Melody.

8) Melody definately looks Italian. She reminds me of the models HRG Attack used to use on the Coversleeves of thier first 12' inch singles. :D

As for the female vocals. I think the only one I can really distinguish really good, would have to be Clara. and that is based on her vocals at TIME, High Energy, Disco Energy, and various Saifam labels. Mainly because the bpms were also a lot slower and I could really appriciate her sound :D

I'd guess many Eurobeat female vocalists are probably session singers who would usually do backing vocals. Good voices, but not really distinctive on lead vocals, perfect for backing though 'cause they'd blend with any voice well.

Karen Wainwright's (or whoever she really is <g>) voice is also very distinctive, though.

Woah, I thought the vocalist for Bang, Without You, Walk A Mile In My Shoes and Shake It Up were the same person @_@

Heh, I consider Delta's female vocals to be the most confusing to distinguish than female vocals on other labels.
