Super Eurobeat: The 170s Decade...What's Next?

Post by para_rigby » 19 Jun 2006, 04:37

So...the 160s are coming to a close next month and I was just wondering what fellow eurobeat listeners were wanting to hear. It can be anything such as artists you'd like to hear again, songs, or styles. Place your bets now for September!

What I'd love to here:
*Go Go Girls (I would love for A. Gordon to reappear with this alias. I just loved her vocals from back in the day. Maybe something to the key of 'Right Now' or 'Cocoon')

*A regular edit of "Electric Woman" by Go Go Girls...I think this is definitely one of the best Go Go Girls songs ever! Too bad Avex only released this song with a short cut on a non-stop album. Electric Woman 2006, anybody?

*More Disco! I'm really like the move back to a disco feeling with artists like 70s Queens and Van TK. Some people hate it, but I love it.

*More Duets! I think SCP has done a good job with joining Ace with other artists on the label. Maybe we could get some decent duets from A-Beat C that doesn't involve Dave Rodgers. I'm thinking another duet from Lolita and Mickey B would be nice.

*And any fresh sounds in general.

These'll be coming from SCP at least. They're supposed to have done a bunch of... unusual... duets. The Van TK & Kiki & Fancy, and Van TK & Christine are supposed to be among these, I think.

I wish Vibration would like, come back with Gianni Coraini as their main vocalist or something like that. I really miss their tracks :(

Of course, I'm waiting for more Domino! I know of at least 3 things she's been working on and I'm hoping at least 2 of them will appear in the 170's series. I can't wait. =)

You must be Domino! :D

I'm still waiting for AKYR to show up on SEB with "Rainbow".

definately need more TIME.= SYM 1-"Last Train To Tokyo", Triumph,Arena 69,Giselle,Overload,Mike J. Idol,Nameless,Dave,High Level, Big Town Guy,Bad Gang, New Gypsy & Queen
and Remakes remakes remakes!
P.S. Offer Giacommo Caria mad money to go to TIME and bring back Dr. Money, Lou Grant, Tommy K. Thomas T.,Dave Hammond, Robert Patton.

HRG Attack= Volta & Gabanna, Rikki 1,Caio Caio,Bugaboo, Franz, Jeff Driller

Saifam= Would like to see different male vocals. Farina is great, but needs diversity. :D Perhaps sing Falsetto style :D

DELTA= Bring back Nando and Claudio. and Jean Love.

ABEATC= Would like a new Matt Land. Annerly is cool for the moment. I want DeLa Vega, Nick Key and would like Dave to creat more male aliases. Like Robert Stone or even sing Falsetto like James Cooler or Coo Coo stlye eg: Paul Murray.

SCP= less duets, less Pamsy,More Scream Team, Fastway and Please more new male vocalists.

Vibration= Somebody allready mentioned this. Gianni Coriani, Davide Di Marcantonio, I like them bea
cause they sound like TIME style.

Would like AVEX to incorporate the cd #2 with Extended versions. Maybe some classics cd opr something new.

More duets, ARE YOU INSANE?? PAMSY RULES!!, and agreed - we need to see Scream Team return, at least for this Hallowe'en...

Hate to break this to you, but Vibration's sound is far superior to Time's. In my opinion anyway (before I get lots of angry backchat from Time-lovers) I too would love the return of Vibration as they rock! :D[/quote]

TIME should bring back Female duo like Macho Gang, Kate & Karen
with fresh voices. So at the moment Sheila would be able to team up
with Sara or Linda even if Sheila and Linda might be the same person.

And I would like them to sing covers of PWL classic like followings.
I Heard A Rumor
Love In The First Degree
I Want You Back
That's The Way It Is

Linda & Phil could cover Especially For You.

Yikes!! All great songs, but why cover perfection? :D

I didn't like the Nuage cover of "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You" at all...

I'd like to hear more Mega NRG Man music. I'm a little bummed there was only one song by Marin released this 'decade'. Then again. I'm sure Phil's feeling the same way about Domino (as he stated somewhere above).

+ More Mega NRG Man
+ More A-Beat C male vocalists on albums; Ni[c]k Key, Neo, more by Dave.... But fewer releases per 10 SEBs.
+ 2006/7 remake of "Seventies".
+ I'd like to hear a Fastway/Dusty and Pamsy duet!
+ More from Ace and Fastway (individually).
+ More songs by Leonardi making it onto SEBs (vocals I want; Maurizio De Jorio and Fernando Bonini).
+ Time continuing to make/release good 200X remakes.

- Susanna Dal Gesso
- Maria Short
- MUCH MORE Leonardi
- More Daniela Rando
- New Time songs in the Remix style
- Asia such as Danny Rock & Alphatown - My Angel Heart

Because I think it could give the generation who don't know PWL sound
opportunities to get an interest in it even if arrangements are somewhat
differ from the originals and the quality is deluded.

That Nuage version was that terrible? I enjoyed it more than a bit cuz
at least the melody and chord progression would be the same.

Can Someone say BANANA RAMMA? :D
We need a new version of some DOA songs like "Brand New Lover" and "Something In My House" (an idea for a new Scream Team song) :P

I totally agree with you on TIME girl Groups! read: New Gypsy & Queen.
Les Blue Belles used to do some wicked ABBA remakes. How about a new Phil & Stan= De Leo & Lorenzo Campani. Stylophones style :D

Apparently driving towards a real pwl product equals beating a dead horse.Covers can't replace original music, and you need an original material to create an interest for an audience in pwl sound. On the other hand, as long as japanese cosmethic surgery hospitals keep choosing those as theme songs, those hits may keep coming.

Oh, you got the point there. I'd like to add "Turn Around And Count 2 Ten" ,which seems more eurobeat-ish than hi-nrg, to the slate. :D

Yeah, as I saw you had already mentioned G&Q, I purposely named other
units.
