What is the most you payed for a 12'

Post by drnrg » 09 Jul 2006, 21:03

I would like to know, what is the highest price you have ever payed for a 12' extended or cd , etc..
I go first. It's not so much for the song, but I really needed this rec for my collection and It had escaped me too many TIMES. In the end it turns out to be one of my favs.

Italo
Dr. Money- Love That Body= 50 dollars

Non Italo:
JWB Hits The beat- One Day In My Life(sounds Like Lime- Babe Were Gonna ;Love Tonight)= $65.00
The price was actually $87.50. I switched the price tag when no one was looking. I was a "Bad Boy" in my youth.

anything under $50.00 I concider a bargain for a TIME rec. :D

Hmm, I dunno. £4 tops?

P.S. At least there isn't a nasty 'competition' in this forum over who owns the biggest, baddest collection, I've seen that among some other collectors. :(

How about the cheapest you've ever bought a record for?

For me, $1.50 for Love Is Danger, that I found in a record shop downtown. :D

Geez, you boys would go crazy for my vinyl collection. The most I ever paid was 50 bucks for Marlene "Call Girl" as it had never been released on SEB, only in megamix on one of those Maharaja megamix CD's. I bought it when I went to that great Japanese vinyl store. I must have spend 500 dollars there and found some ultra rare stuff like the PWL remix of London Nights.

beleieve Or Not. When Prime Cuts(My Italo record shop in Hollywood) closed down. The owner through out a lot of Italo in some old Milk Crates. I found most of my FLEA collection there for 1.50 a pop. If he only knew the gems he practically gave away :D Others:

Brand Image- Love In A Summernight= $1.50
Chester- Hold The Line$1.50
Most of the older TIME 12's before Just A Game-Vanessa

There's a record store on Davie Street in Vancouver, BC Canada that has Italo Disco records... they're all thrown in with a ton of records in the 'disco' section so whenever I go down there I'm usually spending 30-45 mins looking through all the disco vinyls. The last time I was there I was able to pick up a Radiorama vinyl and an alan barklay vinyl.

in my last post I said I got love is danger for $1.50, I lied, it was the radiorama one; i bought love is danger from the net which costed me around $10 with shipping.

I used to take a list of the records I needed for my collection. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you find one you search so long for :D
