I find this topic very interesting. I think that we need closer interaction
between producers of eurobeat for japanese majors and their listeners.
Indeed, why not come out on a forum and ask fans opinion about all sort of neat things..? Personally,I'd love to talk to Laurent about jet-power-toilet seats in lenght,..well,if he already hasn't put me on his *this guy is way too annoing, and even wants to give our producer jobs to germans* list..?
There is a great disconnect between production side and the audience in eurobeat. Producers in Italy are very mysterious and private ppl,so we know next to nothing about them. We really don''t know how they see eurobeat, either. Among other things,I find the subject *who is banging who* in eurobeat no less fascinating..!

Yoda.... Sorry, that just got me.

I agree; it would be nice to see more Producers talking to their fans. But really, I respect the fact that some people don't necessarily want interaction. It's understandable. Privacy is important to some people... I know it is (and if a Producer) would be to me.
There is a chance people might alter what they think of that man/woman's song too, just to appease.

I know some other Producers and singers, for eurobeat, look around here for thoughts on the matter too. Some have and some haven't signed up.

Nevermind this if you please.

Yeah it's kind of comforting to know that sometimes, somehow our thoughts and opinions are heard and generally have some effect, no matter how small, on the music we love and listen to.

Although I agree it is a shame that the majority of them just lurk, or don't even look at the boards  .

Yoda? Avex's ex-chairman?

Personally I'd like to see producers' screaming match...ahem exchange views on their music with one another.

I've always figured that other producers either didn't know about the forums, or were far too busy to post on them if they did.

Could it also maybe be a language barrier problem? I'm not sure how well all the other producers can communicate in english. :/

Well Dave Rodger's english is already a given. So there is no doubt from him being able to communicate if he wished.

I once had a very brief contact with Dave Rodgers, but that's it with Eurobeat producers. (I left him a message at his homepage)

Of course I'm very glad to have Mr. Newfield on the forums! There should be more eurobeat producers connecting the fans, or at least show their faces more often to the public.
Methinks that Mr. Newfield is a rolemodel for eurobeat producers in this case!

actually, dave's english is pretty good. I had a small conversation with him when I visited the iventi italo disco party and it was good enough to hold a decent conversation.

Though, it's probably the written english that they have trouble with? Domino spoke English really well when I met her last May as well; though... when it's written; some mistakes are noticeable.

I remember Federico Rimonti and Claudio Accatino being able to speak english fairly well...

Since language probably isn't the issue then, can we consider the other point I made? Maybe they're just too busy to spend their time nosing around forums?

If anyone remembers? Nick Festari once said that he does "Nose" around Eurobeat forums, but for positive and negative feedback from the fans. In other words they are "Silent Browsers" as I'm sure Sergio Dall Ora, Mauro Farina and even Dave Rodgers do from TIMe to TIME. :D
