I've never seen eurobeat artists or an SEB PV since I'm fairly new to SEB. But a friend of mine linked me to some PV's posted on youtube the other day and...um...they're horrific.
Niko surprised the hell out of me most, my brain can't put the voice in "night of fire" and his (scary though-guy) image together.
Note to self:
Stick to
listening Eurobeat.

Well, considering that isn't Niko. I think.
The 150 ones were pretty low budget, though. And SCP and HRG just do it VERY low budget in-house.

The three music videos that were on SEB150 were either underbudgeted, or in a rush to be completed for the DVD. If the artists were given proper budgeting to create videos for their songs; you'd see much better stuff.

take a look at this video - a music video for one of dave rodgers rock songs.

Underbudgeted. Though Go 2's video isn't that bad. It's pretty interesting.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

...though, that's not really Niko.
It's his model, Edoardo Arlenghi. The real vocalist is Maurizio de Jorio and he really does look nothing like Edo.
It'd certainly explain why the voice doesn't match the model. I admit, it's distracting.
Sadly, there aren't any good eurobeat music videos... they do what they can, though. I appreciate them for what they are, but... meh.
Speaking of which, has anyone seen those terrible fan-vids on youtube and the like? The ones that are basically slideshows of images that relate to the name of the song... ick.

Ah, THANK YOU for the Niko clear-up, I kept hearing "it's not Niko" but with no explanation.
As for the PVs, I guess I should blame Avex for lack of funds.

Get on it Max Matsuura, pronto!

Well if I'm not mistaken, Edo does do some songs. During the concerts he sings and I think he might have done the vocals for Night Of Fire 2004.

He also does backup vocals for Oda songs, does he not? I remember newfield saying something along those lines...

Good music videos are an expensive marketing tool. Unless they're seriously going to increase sales of SEB... what's the point?
Wonder why he spent money (well, assuming _he_ did) on this...

In this respect I highly appreciate what SCP are offering on their site.
Even if those vids are low-budget, it's so much fun to see how the artists
are singing.

YES. The guy that makes them just uploads horribly edited 'music videos' from recent seb songs. It pisses me off because whenever I search for things related to Eurobeat the results page is flooded with that garbage.
He's also uploaded a few videos I've put together (like my rip of sunshine in your eyes and my english subbed domino interview) and hasn't given appropriate credit. =/
