Yes I suppose recording for one or two songs every couple months, and no touring, would't really be a full time job.

I've always wondered how much the singers get, but it probably is different for each labels, and then there's the question of what if they co-wrote too, or work for the label in another capacity.

Just recording the vocals will probably get you a one-time fee of 500 dollars. The real money is of course in the writing cos you get money for every sold CD (and also airplay and stuff).

That's about what I figured. Well, the low-end, anyways. I would've guessed 500-1000 EUR. Still, not bad for a day's work. Pays the rent.
