Eurobeat Songs That Make Your Ears Bleed
So obviously there are bad songs and then there are those songs that become the bane of your eurobeat listening experience. It's either a song with terrible vocals, synths, or something overplayed to death. What are some of these songs that make your ears bleed?
1. Night of Fire/ Niko (51 appearances. Nah couldn't ever be overplayed)
2. Dance Dance Monsteru/ Groove Twins
3. Ace of Spades/ Powerful T
4. Speedman/ Dave Simon (bad vocals...plain and simple)
My roommate would vote for "Make or Brake" by Fastway. She can't stand Fastway rapping.

Here are some of mine:
*I Wanna Dance - Domino
*Woman in Tokyo - Mega NRG Man
*Night of Fire - Niko
*King of your Feeling - Time Force
*Heat of the Night - David "Off"
Please note: this list does not imply that I dislike the artists! The songs are just horrid.

Y'know, this topic sounds awfully familiar... But anyway...
I only have but one song that makes me want to cover my ears and leave the area, and that's Betty Blue - "Lollipop Banana".
I can't stand it. It's shrill, high-pitch, and just cruel.
Mary Ann - "Wonderful" has agitated since the first listen. Terrible.
I also am not fond of Virginelle - "Like a Virgin".
Aside from that, I currently can't think of any more I really don't like.
There are some songs I don't listen to often simply because they aren't as enjoyable, but 'dislike' is uncommon.

That's my thinking usually. I mean, there's stuff that relatively worse than other songs on SEB, but even still there's some decent production values in it, otherwise it wouldn't be on. I mean, using Night of Fire for example, I don't care for it much, mostly because it's overdone, and not really my thing to begin with, but it IS a pretty solid production. And trying not to pick on TIME this TIME, but someTIMES I don't like TIME songs that much, but I can see from TIME to TIME why some people find the TIME to listen to TIME all the TIME.Sadie wrote:There are some songs I don't listen to often simply because they aren't as enjoyable, but 'dislike' is uncommon.

Only song I can really remember disliking strongly is Hinoi Team's cover of Everybody Dance, but that's mostly because I love the original.

I'll mention one from each of the premier Eurobeat lables.
One song that really stands out is SCP's atrosity
Tricky Sticky & Bang
Anotherone is "Play Guitar" Kika and Fancy feat D.J. Goofy. I think this is just silly. The rapping is really BAD.
from AbeatC I know it must be a Go Go Girls song, because sometimes they sound to silly. Though most are awesome
also any song with that burned out melody that Dave Rodgers and Mega NRG Man used in the early 200s
Boom Boom Beat really let me down with Tommy B- Dom Dom
Fom HRG..."Live Music Gang- I Loose My Shoes. Another silly example.
Wherever Judy Crystal is from and that one song "Nori x3.
From DELTA... one song from D-Essex= Take Me To The Top
Vibration= Betty Blue- Go Go baby
....and for good measure, from TIME one song I really dislike is "Walking the Dino" from Wilma. What the hell was that about?
...But nothing hurts my ears more than Techno and Trans elements in my Italo Eurobeat

Dave Rodgers - Not Gonna Get Us/I Was Made For Lovin' You Baby
Groove Twins - Dance Dance Monsteru
The three that come to mind first of all... Not a whole lot of songs are actually really that bad, but just boring. Guess it's just the genre itself that is great compared to the slower and more boring styles and hence ain't really earbleed-worthy.

- Any cover of a Eurobeat song by some random japanese group, especially covers from MAX or Hinoi Team. Although, I do like the Eurobeat remixes of some MAX songs; most of their covers are not pleasant to listen to. (One song from them comes to mind, their cover of Don't You Love Me. The synths in that cover are just crap.)
For specific songs, I can only think of a few off the top of my head.
- Dave / Pride
- Betty Blue / Lollipop Banana
- Irene / Dancin' Baby
There's songs I love, songs I like, songs I don't really care for, and those three songs listed above are tracks I make a point of skipping because I truely do not enjoy them.
Hinoi Team recently covered Dancin' Baby... they were able to take the (unofficially dubbed) "world's worst eurobeat song," and make it even more dreadful.

I love that song and believe it is Betty Blue's best - I'd rather listen to it all day long than one of the crappy soppy Time yawn-fests of the 160's...
