Post by cheeseman » 09 Apr 2007, 21:17

Whoa, the Internet is growing really fast!
A few months ago there wasn't a single photo of these artists on the Web, and now...

Anyone have a pic of Elena Ferretti or Karen Wainwright?

Forgot where I got it , but here she is. To me this pix shows the emotion that she pours into every song. I would like to know wich one she is singing.

I also believe that it's her on the coversleeve of "Waiting For You"

Yep, Pol NRG once said it's not Elena Ferretti, but a model.
Maybe Mr. Newfield happens to have some pic of Elena? ;)

Well that's kinda dumb. Then why would they use a model for picture where the artist is actually singing. To me that goes beyond the point of deceptive. Shame on Euroflash

They made a whole video of that model "singing" (the song is apparently Lonely Night), there was even a topic about it on Eurobeat Evolution, but the site is unfortunately down. :(

Most recently they've been sharing the Madison alias.
Elena sang "Without You" and "Love and Rage", while Daniela sang "Remind Me To Forget".
Daniela is also the voice behind Virginia Toy, "Rocky Dance" by Eurobeat Girls, and some others (probably some early TIME stuff too).
Elena also did some newer Pizza Girl and Denise songs.
Thanks to taQ for clearing this up a while ago, if it weren't for him I'd still be confused. :P

By the way, I've revived the Eurobeat Aliases list which I used to edit when Bahamut Forever was still alive.
Here's a temporary version: http://cheese.republika.pl/aliases.html
I'm planning on updating it as soon as I have some more free time.

As incredible as it seems to me; I never knew that. Any site where the video is still being shown?

She mostly sang for Asia and FCF records in the late 80s and early 90s. I fell in love with her voice since Jane & Jill - Lay Lay Baby Lay and Eskimo - Jump, and remember having listened to those songs really much back then.

Cool! Some additions:

- Farina was the first Tension (before Nando)
- David SRB also sang as Beach Club
- Marcello didn't sing Paul Rogers; Paul Rodgers was the same as Richard Gray (Unbreak My Heart). I think Theo Spagna was involved in most songs with that vocalist. Maybe it was Theo singing, but I don't know that.
- Nathalie did Drama, Happymen and Soundlovers (although the last 2 are not eurobeat)
- Judy Crystal also did Mela, Superlove, Jenny Kee and Laurie for Asia/FCF Records
- Elena Gobbi Frattini also sang Femminuccie, Giorgia Morandi, Sissy Brown and Miss Sage

Jeurobeat

You got some deep Italo roots too :D

He sounded way different back then too. The first TENSION was Italo legend "My Dream" number 27 on TIME's catalogue(I got that one too) :P
Marcello didn't sing Paul Rogers
Are we speaking of Iventi D'Azzurro's very own Marcello ?As far as I remeber Marcello sang The first Marc B. and NRG Boys on ABeatC= EN.ER.GY, Heart & Body and Hyperbeat Tonight(3 of ABEATC's best records ever).
Paul Rodgers was the same as Richard Gray (Unbreak My Heart).
I think even "Hurricane" by TIME FORCE?

I only saw some color stills from that video on Eurobeat Evolution.
Pol NRG responded to that topic saying that it's a model. Maybe he's got the video?

And thanks a lot for the new additions, jeurobeat!

Also, Marcello also has sung as Pleasure & Pain in Magic and Joy. :)

Indeed! That's the one I mean. Great song!

More additions:

Domino: Linda Martin, Bella Model
Elena Gobbi: Barbara
Fabrizio Rizzolo: Max, Body Power
Mauro Farina: first Valentino (before Brian Ice and Magnani did Valentino)
Mauro Farina: first Thomas T (before Caria)
Gino Caria: the first Sandy Bee, 50 and 50 brothers, Mr. Me. Actually, Gino was the first Tommy K, as he did Love In Chinatown before Nando sang Desperado (if you don't count Tommy Kerish).
