Avex sucks.
They pulled my SCP vids from YouTube for infringement, despite them already being publicly hosted elsewhere. However, they were only interested in 'Mr. Nice Guy', 'Play the Music' and 'Fire and the Rain' for some reason.
Of course I'll be putting them back up, but this bothers me.

It's just an inconvenience.
Avex is huge, but they're not big enough to stomp out something that even larger record labels have no luck with. There are hundreds of niche video hosting sites that they haven't touched (and can't), like Veoh.
It takes me three minutes to upload my videos anew... I wonder how long it takes them to fill out forms and apply for infringement?
Longer than three minutes, I'll bet you.

Welcome to a little over a year ago for me

But yeah, I'm probably on the top of their hate list, so you don't have anything to worry about...

Avex had youtube remove my parapara video for i wanna be fat ages ago
Apparently the edited length, and crap sound quality of the music posted on youtube is a bigger threat then everything else out on the world wide web that threatens their copyrights. It's probably just easier for them to target youtube.

The only thing that really bothers me about Avex aside from their unwillingness to promote eurobeat beyond Japan is that SCP can't release their songs individually due to their tight bond. There's just way too many Euromach extensions from the label that I'm still waiting for, but the bonus discs are the only way I can depend on them.

Avex should be glad that the world getting know about eurobeat for example at youtube. The style would be more popular.
But avex don't give a shit to anything and anybody just will stop the SEB in the future because only this forum members buying the albums. And we are less.
Stupid branch of assholes, they only cutting the songs and do nothing else.

I HERD AVEX HAETS MUDKIPZ!
At any rate, whil Avex does seem to be keeping a rather tight and harsh leash on anything they've breathed on, we do still have them to thank for Super Eurobeat to begin with. And if Avex wasn't being a dick about what they own of EB, someone else would. That's just music business.
