Lupin - Black UFO

Post by cheeseman » 21 Feb 2008, 17:01

When I first heard Filippo Cordioli (Mike Snap/Saetta Kid), I had a feeling that I had heard that voice before, though I couldn't recall where...
Recently, I've been browsing SAIFAM's website and found out that Filippo works for SAIFAM as an 'Internal Producer'.
One thing instantly came to my mind... Take a listen to these samples:

Lupin - Black UFO
Mike Snap - Go Beat Gun

What do you think?

I honestly assumed that "Lupin The Third" was some random name from Saifam that mainly worked on the other sublabels, but who knows? The label does seem to enjoy bringing in guest stars along with Farina, Serra, Castellari, and Lolly 'O (i.e., Annerly Gordon in You Got A Feeling).

Now that you mention it, they do sound VERY similar

What's really funny is that the songs themselves sound quite similar as well, melodically and production-wise (only difference is that Black UFO uses more bass rather than treble). It makes it seem even more likely that Lupin (3) is Filippo.
