Appreciation of Super Eurobeat 141

Post by orochi » 17 Oct 2004, 05:36

Hi! I was previously lurking around for a VERY long time but already is a long time fan of Eurobeat ever since got exposed to it during Para Para Paradise 2 (seems like history, rite?). So a nice HI to all! :D

I'm in the process of collecting the SEB volumes from the 140s era and already have SEB141 and SEB147. I'm dumb struck by the shear quality of SEB141. Aside from the stale Vanessa, Leslie Parrish and A-Beat Boys songs, all the others were superb

So let us appreciate the beauty that is SEB141 and remember it as the start of the interesting era of 140s

SEB141, in my opinion, is the best SEB in the 100+ era. All the songs, even the ones that aren't very "great" are still excellent. It has my all time favorite song on it, Hot For Your Body.. and it just rocks. hehe

Yeah SEB141 is indeed great.. I wouldn't call it my very favorite, but it's in the top 3 of alltime sebs for me... Only SEB124 and 148 work better for me. But 141 is like Phil said, great all around and the worst songs in the bunch are still good.

141 was extremely good. Queen Of Fire by Jimmy Bravo got me started on Vibration's style (before that I mostly listened to Initial D songs and random eurobeat songs), I've Got To Go introduced us to Manuel and became one of my favorite songs from 2003, Roberto Tiranti was on it on the song We'll Stop The Time (which contrary to a few people I thought was a very good song), Dusty and Ace made their first SEB appearance and of course HI-NRG Attack came in with I Want Your Balalaika as their main punch (I know Panu loves WWWILove U). In my opinion, 141 had to be as strong as it was because of the introduction of all the different labels. A-Beat C, Time, Delta, SCP, HI-NRG Attack and Vibration. Pretty much the biggies (only one missing is Boom Boom Beat but they really aren't producing that much eurobeat, more remixes of eurobeat songs they've made).
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

Heh, yeah I do love WWW iLoveU... definitely one of the better HI-NRG Attack songs... and like you said the other songs you mentioned rocked as well... And Kiss 2 Kiss is also one of my very favorite Lolita songs.
