Age of Techno Remix on iTunes (Seen on Franz Tornado's FB)

Post by thejti » 13 Jul 2011, 09:20

A new EP by Hi-NRG Attack was released (two days early apparently!) featuring 4 classic Hi-NRG Attack tracks remixed to Hyper Techno!

Age of Techno Remix

1. Francisco Gaitan & Giorgia Barrows - Queen of the Night
2. Francisco Gaitan & Lou-Lou Marina - Rock' N' Dolls
3. Francisco Gaitan & Jeff Driller - Foxy Lady
4. Francisco Gaitan & Princess F. - Technotronic Flight

These songs are not too good. The only one I want to listen to is Rock N' Dolls :(

Apparently the extends have piano arrangements in them like Foxy Lady I hear, but the previews don't show that unfortunately.

I actually don't mind these remixes! I might buy Foxy Lady.

One thing that may get them in trouble is, that girl on the cover is dressed like "Mio" from the show "K-On". HRG has decent taste in anime but questionable taste in 'not-getting-in-trouble-with-anime-studios'.
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

I'm going to have to agree with Tiger. The problem with these remixes is that the original tunes are so melodic that they clash poorly with this hard, ugly style. I love Queen of the Night, but this remix kind of butchers it for me, unfortunately. Rock' N' Dolls sounds okay because it's a more aggressive song that isn't as much about the tune itself, so the hyper techno treatment fits it better.
