Etymology of parapara is A-Ha????????????

Post by Victor » 07 Dec 2004, 10:02

Etymology of parapara.

I have heard that the word comes from the song "take on me" by A-Ha.
During the intro to the song the singer is heard to sing "parapara" and this was one of the first songs to which people danced Parapara.

Is this true??????????

No one really knows the full history of para para since its ben around for song long,But the song u mention is most likley not the song that started para para,Its probably just has a refrence to parapara dancing.Para has ben around for a VERY long time..so you should look around and try to find some history about it on some other para para sites such as parastage etc.
