Ev'ry body I was excited when new material created by a Eurobeat team is gonna be released.
I was just wondering how many Eurobeat fans are interrested in the productions made in the past!
With the past you could look at the history of your favorite producer or vocals.
Refuring to the answer of Laurent when he mentioned his 'start' in the Italo Disco scene in the mid eighties. Or his statement about 'Grandfather' Farina. Almost ev'ry producer had some connection with him and Crivellente.
Could a recent Eurobeat fan who likes the speed (or not) listen to the old Italo works?
For me it's still fantastic to listen to the music from those early days.
Again refuring to Laurents story about 'Time' ........ this morning I drove away from home to work. Put a CD compilation on which was just released from ZYX Germany. One of the tracks was RADIORAMA with SO I KNOW. Fantastic song, great base line and the vocals from 'Grandfather' Mauro and the backup sung by Clara (I think).... what a sexy voices.
Yes people, try to listen to the early days when perhaps there was not so much comurcial pressure and the BPM was lower. But the songs where fantastic.
Please give it a try!
Could you listen to the early days?

Thx for your reply!drnrg wrote:The early Italo is and always will be the best. When I first got into Eurobeat(90's) I was listening to songs like "Right Time" chester, and Reflectors " You Driving Me Crazy" those for me were slower than the High Energy of Paul Lekekis and Mike Bow of the 80's. years later I discovered even slower BPMs from songs from Vanessa "Be My Lady" and Roy's "Destiny Time". To me they are just as amazing
About Roy's "Destiny time" for me a 'timeless' track. Fantastic sound and I really still enjoy it. What a fantastic Memory recording!
Vanessa's "Be my lady" , Time's reaction to Ibiza Records hit from Sabrina "Boys". I mean ofcourse the 'rap' inside the song. I even thought they (Time) did another track for Vanessa with the same rapper?
The Reflectors (from the Nicolosi family) good! But did you ever heard Ian Lex - " Blue Eyes" on the same label? Really good, esspecially the B-side.
And Chester - Right time made by Pasquini. But what about the first Chester "Hold the line"..... wow I still can remember the moment I heard this one in this special glass room of the viny shop. What an intro and that B-side. A fact is that at that moment I did not know that Mauro Farina was the vocalist! Giancarlo Pasquini and Federico Bonneventura did a live show in my country (in 1988 .. oh I'm getting old) and after there performance I did try to speak to Giancarlo. Unfortionally at that he could not speak any English. So I only said to him "Chester, Chester". He only said "Farina". Then a lot of songs become clear to me. Ever heard Tension "My dream" !!! Try to get a hold on it thru the "I Love Disco Diamonds" CD compilation created by the Spanish compagny BlancoYNegro (www.blangoynegro.com). The serie is now at volume 36! All songs are coming out of the eighties and most of the material is Italian. You will find lots of 'classical' tracks' in the long extended version which are even more slower in BPM as the songs you mention in your topic reply, but oh so beautifull. As a reaction ZYX Germany did also released some material with extended work.
Please try to listen to the early days they will be thrill to listen to! Try out tracks like K-Barre "Right by the moon", Tom Hooker "Looking for love" or Rudy & Co "Mama Radio" ..........
Have to go, work is calling.
Ciao for now, speak to you later.
