since 3 years i search for the answer to following question:
Whos is the voice, behind al following projects?

Some people said that this is no real voice but a voice of Farina or Pasquini changed by computer techniques, but i stil dont believe it and sure that this is other person who singed all these songs.

Maybe you know it better?

Hi Karel,

At least Boys Boys Boys, The Guys and the other Farina projects (Boy "Falling Away") are certainly sung by M.Farina, if you ask me. And I doubt that his vocals were computerized. He can do a lot of voices, I'm sure that he can sing that high. The way he sings and pronounces the words... it must be Farina. Kinky Go is probably a different person.

Kinky Go is a creation of Bastoni, Melotti & Salvatore (if I remind it correctly!). There label was better known as BMS!
My quess is that the vocals of Kinky Go is perhaps done by Mario Neri. Perhaps Pol from Spain got some correct answers for this one!
About BMS, they released a track called 'You have something to say, say it right'. A song sung by Ross (later she did stuff for Farina & Crivellente). This mentioned song was released in the eighties and had a very fast BPM.
Perhaps the first Eurobeat speed track!
That's all, I have to stay with the topic subject

Actualy a lot of artist can mimic those high vocals. Starting with Sylvester, Jimmy Sommerville, The Guy from Erazure, So yeah it probobly is Mauro Farina. Why does not do any songs in that style is beyond me. Hey even I tried it at home. It can be done.

long time ago i ask you about high voices of LILAC, BOYS BOYS BOYS et al. You said, you think that there are just M.Farina or G.Pascuini who can change thier voices so far.

I heard these songs again and again and tried to believe it. But i can not, i stil can not. Because i think, there is some person who singed all these songs, who singed as much as other eurobeat vocalists but remained unknown for us. And today i want to ask you again if you maybe got new information last months about this vocalist?

the information that was given to you is infact accurate. Mauro and Giancarlo are guilty as charged of impersonating Jimmy Summervill

Mauro Farina has got to be the most talented when it comes to using his vocals to different pitches. He sang most of the earlier TIME songs, where he sounds nothing like his Saifam. He also did early CooCoo on Flea(before Gianni Corraini) and as was allready explained and might I add confirmed by G. Laurent, he was indeed the magic voice behind Lillac, Boy and Boys Boys Boys.

Just listen to an older Lillac song back to back with James Cooler . The vocal range sounds conciderably different. You do not need a keen ear to hear that. Youy want even more confusion? Take a listen to Older Release songs or Eddy Skyn. Hell, Take a listen to Ken Heaven- The Calling All using what is called the FALSETTO vocal range or singing at a higher pitch.

Every artist from the Bee Gees to Guns & Roses to Sting has used this method. It's an essential part of singing. ..and actually pretty easy to conjure. hey,you would not doubt that Prince was behind the vocals of "I Wanna be Your Lover" and "When Doves Cry" would you?

Most of us have been collecting and Listening to Italo/High Energy/Eurobeat for many years, so our compilation of information is very reliable, but if you still doubt us, at least have faith in Mr. Laurent Newfield. He has worked behind the studio with Mauro, Ginacrlo, Nando etc... Trust him. He Knows!

thank you very much for your answer. I dont want to insult anybody when i said i dont believe. For sure there are many people who know it all much better than me and people who are mixmasters et al.
But again: Giancarlo Pascuini made a lot of songs, i think i have them all and i love them too. They began in early 80s and stil exist until today.
His voice in DAVE ROGERS ist different from his voice in BELLA & BLUE "Magic" or ROBERT NEWMAN "Love me girl", but no matter how different he is, not only me, my wife who hear my music not often, can recognise Giancarlo Pascuini in few seconds. And the same with M.Farina.
What these vocalists do the voice of LILAC or BOYS BOYS BOYS- nobody can believe it.
Dont you know this old adage: "if on the cage with the wolf you read "lion", dont believe your eyes" or anything like that.
I believe every word in this forum, but not that BOYS BOYS BOYS M.Farina sing.

JIMMY SOMMERVILLE sing only with this his voice, he can not others. BEE GEES, of cause this high voice is true, there are 3 people in the band and everyone has his own voice. Only one voice. ERASURE is not an exanmple, his voice is never so high like of LILAC.
Other example would be BIG FUN prioduced by S.A.W. His voice is also true, and he sing only with this one high voice. A colleque of mine is hobby-musician and he sing with very high voice, not with the voice he speak, but he can not sing with his normal voice. When he begin to sing, is his voice higher.

And i dont see any sence to use this voice if these singers already be loves with their original voices.

And you said you tried it at home and it can be done. Would it be possible to hear your high singing voice in MP3 format? Could you mail me maybe 1-minute-long song of you in two different versions? It would be the big help...

Ha Ha. I do not think I will be making my singing debute any TIME soon. You see I have no Software to record on P.C., here ia a link to "Hey Man" by Mike Hammer(Giancarlo Pasquini) Listen to the part after chorus and the break. He is hitting that high note wich is unmistakenably the range he uses on his James Cooler songs.

Now Listen to Mike Hammer-"Divine" This TIME around sung by Mauro. Listen to the difference in his vocal range from Verse to chorus. try to ignor female backing vocals and just concentrate on his voice. especially when he says "Do A show for me" Can you hear his Lillac falsetto picth?

There are many other examples of M. Farina using his different vocal ranges in Eurobeat throughout his carreer. You just gotta really listen to his work on ASIA and FLEA. Sometimes on the same song his pitch goes up as in songs by Venice. In the verses he sings in normal tone than on chorus goes up in higher range to his Coo Coo voice. There is also the fact ,that almost any record that contains him in writing credits, usually means he is also doing vocals(unless it's females)

Hi, i listed today to the part after chorus, yes, this is the voice used in James Coller songs, BUT
Why do you think for sure that the person who sing in the chorus also Giancarlo is and not anybody else????

There are a few people who work on a song, in the choris can be for example 2-3 other people, one of them ca be the person who sing JAMES COLLER songs.

Hi, i listed today to the part after chorus, yes, this is the voice used in James Coller songs, BUT
Why do you think for sure that the person who sing in the chorus also Giancarlo is and not anybody else????

I've listened to lots of Pasquini and Farina tracks and I can recognize their voices easily.
I haven't heard all of the tracks you listed, but I'm 100% sure that James Cooler is Pasquini and Lilac is Farina.

This entire track is sung by Bonini! Including the falsetto. Bonini does NOT sing Boys Boys Boys because that's Mauro Farina singing. And Bonini does not sing James Cooler, because that's Giancarlo Pasquini...
