DiskoWarp is no more

Post by Cosmic_Bard » 15 Mar 2006, 01:50

Love it or hate it, DiskoWarp is apparently finished.

I recently bought the first and last DiskoWarp CD, "I <3 DiskoWarp" and much to my surprise, I'd been sent a free second disc to give to a friend!
But, also included in the envelope was a handwritten note from Pete Ellison that reads as follows:

"HI DAVID!

Thanks for picking up our demo cd. Sadly, (?) we are killing off the DiskoWarp label concept altogether, but a full album under the name "Kick + Punch" weill be out later in 2006!!"

enjoy
<3 PETE"

So, looks like Pete might still be doing some similar stuff using the artist title Kick + Punch.

I think it's a shame he never finished his powerful male vocal song "Super Hyperbole" that he'd said he was going to do...

Sexy Vampire was good. There's an uncensored version on the CD I bought.
