It's obvious that I'm Alsleep while you guys are awake. Where did all these posts come from. Anyways all info is true, except the part about TIME label doing better than TIME records
At least not to me.
Don't forget the short lived ,but very popular TIME sub-label of the 90's DTR(Downtown Recs) Home of Tommy K's first song "Love In A Chinatown" DTR1006 and MACHO recs Home of "Toby Ash-Are You Ready" and Jilly -"Touch Me" ..

To answer the question TRHV does stand for Havanna Studio. I was told by VERY reliable source directly connected with the label

I too had trouble finding the numbers for TRD 1765 and 1766 as well. There are soo many songs and very confusing when stareing at a list at 3:00am in the morning. I also did not see those songs mentioned On the list, but was told that they were pulled out to be released on another Eurobeat compilation by the main writer. By this I beleive the writer in question was DiMarcnatonio. TRD 1749 Chester- Comon Comon Comon was also pulled and later changed to C'MON C'MON C'MON / DEE DEEDid you find TRD 1765 and 1766?
I was looking hard, but couldn't find them...
Also, it looks like a few cover songs (Keith Roland - Heaven, T.I.M.E. - Another One Bites The Dust) aren't included in the catalogue.
Judging by their release dates, they fall somewhere between the last TRD and the first TRHV

Well if you look at it in a worlwide kinda view, You are right, but in Eurobeat land you couldn't be farther from the truth. You seem to forget the whole Luka Pernicci rebith in TIME with huge success on songs by Mr. Music, Triumph, Dave Simon etc.. and the whole Atrium craze "Supersonic Fire" and DiMarcantonio's "Hero Of Desire" "Rock Of Love" "Made For Loving You" You mean to say ,you didn't like these songs?
As far as TIME's another Non Energy labels, I never like it and this goes as far back as thier experimental period with Tony Scott and Gino Latino, who wierdly enough are part of TRD Italo label. ...But its' safe to assume that this music is important for Giacomo in order to have funds to keep creating all those Eurbeat hits throughout the years.

You can safely say that we wouldn't have Time Records right now without all the mega hits from Paps 'N' Skar and others on Time Label.
And apart from a few songs, I never liked Pernici's work unfortunately. The downfall of Time Records after 1995 (for my taste) was even one of the main reasons I quit listening to Eurobeat for YEARS. At the time it felt like all the main artists walked away from Time Records and the songs just didn't appeal to me anymore.

Many Italo fans left the genre when it became High Energy and even more when it became Eurobeat. The main reason for this was probly the faster BPMs. I never understood this , because deep down inside, the music's soul is still present. The classic Italo hooks have never been absent, just faster. When people turn to House and even Techno, I scratch my head, because the essential parts of what made ITALO, which have allways been Vocals and Melody hook are nowhere to be heard in Techno and the like. Not too mention the catchyness of the music. I always think TRU ITALO lovers like me are the ones who satyed faithful to the genre through it's HIGH ENERGY phase and up to todays EUROBEAT.
Those of us who can listen to
1. Danny Kieth- Keep On Music
2. Fun Fun- Colour My Love
3. Alphatown- Japan Japan
4. Mike hammer- Heartbreaker
5. Niko- Nite Of Fire
6. Kasanova- What Kinda Cure 2007
in that order or mixed are the LOYAL Italo freaks

I can listen to all as well, but try to be a bit more open minded. Actually trance music (I don't mean the crap you hear on the radio but the underground stuff) is very close to Italo from the 80s too. Many big trance producers are Italo fans! I once ran in to Ferry Corsten and Vincent de Moor on an Italo party LOL!

What is so similar about the two ,if I may ask?
How in the world can you support this statement. Lyrically Trance is Inferior to Italo. Vocally; It's mediocre at best...and musically' Where do you hear those catchy synthesizer hooks? I sure don'tActually trance music (I don't mean the crap you hear on the radio but the underground stuff) is very close to Italo from the 80s too.

Okay, now I know you ARE referring to Eurodance and not Trance. Trance music hardly has vocals (1 in every 1000 songs) and the musical structure doesn't even allow synth hooks. Maybe you should do a little more research before making such statements!drnrg wrote:MarkIventi wroteHow in the world can you support this statement. Lyrically Trance is Inferior to Italo. It's just as annoying as people who say Eurobeat is "pop music" or "eurodance".

...and still like allways you fail to actually answer my question. My question was what makes Eurobeat so similiar to Trance in your world.

and the winner is
I think the vocalist may be Steve Bronski from Bronski Beat. Just a guess, but they worked with Farina in the 90s
Dear beat freak,
do you mean the vocalist of KINKY GO or vocalist of other falcetto projects? Of any case i mean that there was not BRONSKI. At first, his work with Farina was for example on the album of BRonski Beat in 1995, but it was other voice. At second, the falcetto voice in Bronski Beat was not the voice of Bronski but of Jimmy Sommerville.
Best wishes
Karel
