First thing I did when opening this topic was watching the posting date...

Get it now? :P
Oh noes! It's 'Wild Reputation'! What a joke!

Chorus:
"Looking inside, no understanding
Only time will save my music
Feeling my times, I know the reasons
Paradise can't last as a life time "

It sounds also a bit sad... In a way I always feel kinda melancholic when I listen to the song...

Maiolini insisted that only TIME records had the right to use the name and didn't allow him to use it for his new label A-Beat C, but Dave couldn't concede to him a bit about it cuz Aleph was originally his band's name that he had been using since he and his buddies formed the band. I have no idea what became of the decision, though.

Also "Wild Power" affair occured. As you know, "Wild Reputation" by Big Brothers and "Black Power" by Maio & Co. are too similar, so it's said it's because "Black Power" was produced on the basis of the demo left by Dave.

Accordingly, "Black Power" enjoyed bigger success than "Wild Reputation" and this was icky to Dave.

So it's impossible Dave rejoins TIME if anything. 8)
Black Power did? Wild Reputation is on more albums and the remix is already on quite a few albums (6 and counting). Isn't Wild Reputation more popular than Black Power?
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

You got it, Javier.

I think it's natural that you guys have such a doubt considering the
situation of those two songs being included in the albums, but I was
talking about the circumstances at that time.

Actually "Black Power" was winning more support from Eurobeaters
as the club chart of those days showed.

The songs by Maio & Co. were originally licenced to King Records Japan.
As you may know, TIME was licencing several Japanese record companies
(Alfa, Victor, Toshiba EMI, Pony Canyon, King) with respect to each artist.
Avex wasn't on the map yet then.

Avex's practically first compilation album was SEB vol. 9, where "Wild
Reputation" was first included. A-Beat C was exclusive to Avex and the
first label they entered into contract with, and so A-Beat C has always
been number one label for Avex since then.

After King Records dropped out of eurobeat biz, Avex bought the interest
in all the Maio & Co.'s songs, but unfortunately "Black Power" is treated
only as one of classic eurobeat hits.

I think it would be quite easy to imagine that Avex puts "Wild Reputation"
above "Black Power". Ah, and Maio & Co. has its biggest hit "Dark In The
Night", so also this would be the reason "Black Power" is neglected by
Avex. :(

8) I think maybe Dave gotback at Giacomo Maiolini by actually producing music for a band named Black Power and using the name ALEPH on his own label even after thier discourse. Remember "Get Wild" a good, but that same sound was no longer there.
Eurobeat battles between the labels are not pretty
