1. King Kong & D. Jungle Girls- Boom Boom Dollars. First Italo/Eurobeat style record I ever purchased. I have no idea what that DDR is , but I have the original and Boom Boom Beats cover of years later. That infectious hook was like the cure I was waiting for after my beloved Hair Metal days were over. The whole guy in Gorilla outfit just added to the whackyness.
Gino Caria- Hold The Line. Found on a 50 cent barell along with other Italo and disco classics. The reason this one is so important was because I finally knew what my favourite Eurobeat vocalist was and what he looked like.
Franz Tornado- Mad Cow. I used to write to Federrico and he would send me vinyls. On this oparticular incedent he sent me a pic of himself posing with his Red Ferrari.
Dave Hammond- Loverboy. Played the instrumental version and inserted my own vocals along with a bunch of other TIME songs and sent it as a sort of serenading mix tape to my than girlfriend.
Super Eurobeat 077- Not for the sticky reason, but rather I f I remeber correctly that was the first volume when I found songs that were not being pressed onto vinyl. This starting the SEB addiction. In fact it was that one 74 and 81. They were already at nighnty-something so I had a lot of catching upp to do.
Touch Me- Jay Gunner & Lucky The Nice- Take Me Away. Eddy Parregio and Danny Roosen(NRG Boys) first played this new songs from a new Hi NRG label from Claudo Accantino. I was immediately hooked to Roby's agrresive vocals.
Mako- Kiss To Kiss- I finally reralized where my beloved Mike Hammer had jumped to.
Mike Hammer- Heartbreaker. 6 a.m. in the morning I was ording vinyls from oversees and this one was playing through my phone speaker. I liked it so much I told the guy to play the whole thing. You know oversees phonecalls can be expensive.
Dr. Money- Let it Go. First TIME I attempet to play Eurobeat /Italo at the club where I was Dee Jaying. It got a positive responce. I ended up mixing an hour long set of TIME-FLEA-HI Energy-ASIA-ABEATC records. That led to me making aerobix mix tapes at the gym I was working at at the TIME.
Be My Lover- Maria Valentino. I was playing this song in the car with a a now exgirlfriend. Somehow when the chorus came on she knew exactly what melody it was and sang along.
Wow so many great mnemories
