PWL History

I'm not a big fan of Stock Aitken and Waterman, but I think they have an important place in the history of Eurobeat. There was an interview with them this week on the radio. Here it is for those who are interested. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/fivelive_aod.shtml?fivelive/stock_aitken_waterman REGA...

How about the only way is pizza from Lolita's "Pizza Dance"?

That really is a bloody stupid song.

And don't forget....

I'm a cherry girl and I need your stick etc.

Perhaps Lolita lyrics are the best/worst.

I don't bother telling people that I like Eurobeat here because they wouldn't understand. In London there is what must be one of the biggest CD shops in the world. ( HMV Oxford St). I can't find even one Eurobeat track in there. I've been to CD shops in Italy and couldn't find it there either. I th...

I agree with Redtarzanboi and Pol's taste. Pol is like me and is a bit of a Eurobeat grandad. But, I think that Newfield is running a business therefore he must cater to the market. The people who buy current Eurobeat seem to be mostly young people who are into anime, Play Station etc. I can't stand...

Don't forget this nasty song by Dire Straits........

Sitting in a small cafe now
Swing, swing, swingin to the cabaret
You wanna see a movie, take in a show now
Meet new people at the disco
Yeah, we’re gonna be so neat
Dance to the eurobeat
Yeah, we’re gonna be so cool
Twisting by the pool

Hey Pol, The That's Eurobeat series was going long before Super Eurobeat. As was the Eurobeat Fantasy and Eurobeat Fantastic series. I think That's Eurobeat 1 is about 1986. The first Super Eurobeat was about 1989. So Super Eurobeat is definitely not the source of the word. But I might get corrected...

Yes. But was "Chatline 1234" any good? I've bought too many rubbish Eurobeat CDs . But some of them have one or two good numbers on them. Sissy Brown is sung by Elena Gobbi?? Yappari! I gave it a listen today and it sure is. I don't know why I hadn't noticed. If Bonini is a guitarist he mu...

Thanks everybody!! I must confess. I am a Eurobeat Conservative and I think the Renaissance was the late 80s early 90s. I am suspicious of the quality of the tracks on that CD. Is it any Good???? But, Thanks for your recommendations. Actually I am already a fan of Mara - Wonderful Time. However I ge...

Thank you Mikaeru and Pol. I take my hat off to your superior knowledge. I must say I'm not a fan of King Kong's stuff as a rule. But I instantly remembered that Clara and Pasquini sing as King Kong. Is there one where they sing together? I've never heard Giorgia Morandi and C or D. Connection. Are ...

An historical eurobeat song

 I was listening to "Illusion" by Jill Sander on my MP3 player a few days ago and it occurred to me that it is probably the only recording in which Dave Rodgers and Clara are together. I propose that this track is very important in eurobeat history, for here are the real king and ...

Hey Pol.

You'd be surprised how much stuff can be bought on Ebay.

I use ebay.co.uk and I've bought a few Eurobeat CDs.

Last month I bought SEB 145 for 15 Euros.

See you!!

That's cheap.

Baldoni - Rosellini - Bonini

Hi everybody!!!! There are a lot of songs I really like by Baldoni, Rosellini and Bonini. However I never see them mentioned on any Eurobeat sites. I am sure Clara sings on a lot of their numbers too. They seem to have only made records in the late 80s and early 90s. Does any one know anything about...

Hey. I have "Shine a little love", "Bang a boomerang" and "Sugar Baby Love" by the Blue Belles. They are all good numbers. I also have some covers by the Itanlian Girls which I think are like the Blue Belles. I think it's just Clara Moroni in a studio though , no actual...
